The land of my ancestors Chipata .My late father left for greener pastures during Welensky's Federation and headed for Southern Rhodesia now Zimbabwe were i was born hopefully i will one day be able to travel and track down my blood line relatives.
Hi. Petauke my birthplace. Last visited chipata in 2000. Brought back memories as we went for my younger brothers wedding looking forward to you showing us chipata. Especially the shops belonging to asians. I was brought up in chipata. Don't forget to show us beautiful mosque of chipata.
Have a safe journey and thank you for your hard work. Missing the masau l wish l was there. You really bring wonderful memories. Luangwa fish best fish ever.Good roads as well.Lovely to see Toll charge crossing.Thank you for taking our sister from America with you. So glad she is having a good time and look after her please.
Nice video which with a lot of memories especially of Chipata which I love. Good to see Kapata bus station area. Too many tolls in Zambia & hope the new government will reduce the toll fees.
The first time I visited Chipata was in October 2007 all the way from Botswana 🇧🇼. I liked the places called manenekele and the Luangwa bridge and it was my first time to have travelled that long distance for that long
Thought you were going to talk about the history of the luangwa Bridge. The former Bridge was destroyed by Ian Smith Rhodesia's (currently Zimbabwe) colonisers as revenge on Zambia aiding Zimbabwe with the liberation struggle.
I remember the first time.we traveled to Peatuke for my mum's funeral 1983 on UBZ bus standing all the way to Peatuke and we stopped in Luangwa on both ways, I was excited to see Maninekila coz I heard so many stories.
I pray those motorbikes will never spread to the rest of Zambia they are horrible they have caused a lot of unnecessary deaths in Congo they should ban them and they make a place look more impoverished than it is….sorry for the rant now because of the bikes Eastern Zambia is a no no for me😔 and thanks for showing us the city.
Yes, Chingola, we travelled up and down the great North road a lot to Livingstone, not sure why my father never did that side, don't think the roads were very good at that time in the 60s and 70s and we never had a four wheel drive vehicle
Great bus tour. Thanks for sharing this video. It gives me a great glimpse of the road looks like.
I enjoyed watching this trip. It reminded of my trip to Chipata.
Very much interested chipata road keep going brother

Totally agree, never used to be toll fees in the 70s, people don't have the wages over there to warrant them!!!!!
The great east road is very mountainous
