I was missing my husband who passed away in October and listening to your song brought me to tears . The Lord truely is my shepherd ,He is always showing me He's there, your song was just another example. Thank you, and bless you
Sorry for your loss each passing day will get a little easier ,I lost my dad 2 years ago this March during second lockdown ,the greatest loss in my life,so I feel for you .xx
I found your channel as I was looking for a knitting podcast to watch while knitting. I never commented on any podcast ever, but your singing moved me to tears. You have a beautiful voice. Love your content generally, you’re a man’s man who knits and I appreciate that. Being a piper, I have a special place in my heart for Scotland, so your scottish accent is music to my ears. Thank you for enriching my days! Marie
@@albanachknitterYou deserve it all. My wife is the knitter and I'm the musician, so she knew it was something I needed to see. The tune is in our hymnal and I intend to arrange it for voice and piano for our wonderful soloist. Thank you!
Hi Katherine, Andrew sings a psalm, which is based on one of the 150 psalms in the Book of Psalms. It's different from a hymn, which is a Christian song with a non-biblical text. In certain churches (including Scottish churches, as Andrew points out), psalms hold a special position.
You don’t hear nearly enough Psalm singing anymore! Some of us Presbyterians over in the US still do a lot of it, but it has fallen out of favor for the more popular praise songs in a lot of circles. So glad to have found you on UA-cam!
Oh Andrew your voice is heaven sent.thank you for the wonderful psalm it has a new meaning for me listening to u singing it.i have some new medical worries and have been abot low in the last couple of days.hearing your voice has given me hope and I know The Father will do all he can to help me. Please more dear Andrew of your beautiful voice,u have given me peace tonight.Thank You Pauline Essex.
Thank you. What a blessing to hear. Your singing comes from the heart. I had wondered if you sang in Gaelic at church. Amazing Grace....can we put in requests?? 😁 God Bless you and all of your family, church, etc. ♥️♥️
I've never been part of a church that sings in Gaelic although I've visited some. Gaelic psalm singing is quite a unique musical expression! Thanks for watching and for your kindness.
I just watched your post about a peaceful place. Then I found your sweet song, The Lord is my Shepherd. My day of peace has begun. Thank you, thank you. ❤
I am re-reading Phillip Keller's A Shepherd's Look at the 23rd Psalm. Since I mostly process fleeces for spinning my yarns, I've been learning a lot about sheep. The more I learn, the more I understand how God called the people His sheep, and then Jesus referred to us all as sheep. I've learned so much about how reliant sheep are on the Shepherd. Your Psalm song was beautiful, and just reiterated it even more. I had not heard that melody or the verses. A good blessing for my day. Thank you.
I’m weepy today. My son passed two years ago March 11. Your singing reminds me of the Lords love and comfort in grief, He is with me always! God bless you.
Thanks. I'm a knitter and subscribed to see your knitting, but then Ruth on "Ruth loves to knit" mentioned this psalm video, so I came here for that! Beautifully sung. I miss the psalm-singing from my time in Stornoway and growing up singing scottish psalmody in Belfast. The churches here in Vanuatu, where we are at the moment, rarely sing psalms.
Going to church on the Western Isles and on the the mainland , hearing the singing and above all the vital Biblical preaching is blessing beyond measure from the Lord. From Tasmania. DV we shall be there again in October this year.
What a lovely traditional Scottish hymn. You have a beautiful voice. I just love the eclectic mix of stuff on your channel, Andrew. Thank you so much for sharing all your talents and your wonderful Scottish home with us.❤️
Absolutely beautiful! I just found your podcast. I live in the U.S. and on my trips to Europe, I sadly never visited Scotland. But if I’m never able to visit, your lovely podcast gives me such a wonderful glimpse! I appreciate your talents as a knitter and the history with your granny! What a wonderful legacy. Thank you for blessing us with that beautiful Psalm, one of my favorites!
I love this! It's such a beautiful tune. Your channel is such a joy for me to find a knitter who is a pleasure to listen to and also loves our Lord. God's blessing on you, your family, and your ministry!
Glory to God ! Thank you Andrew for a beautiful blessing. Joan

Your Gift has reached across the continent to Santa Fe New Mexico. Thank you Andrew. You took me to a sacred place.
Great! Hope you’ll do more. I can almost smell my shoes burning on the freezing church’s heating pipes 60 years ago.
Beautiful, peaceful, anointed. I was just reading Psalm 23 this morning. God bless from California!
Beautiful! The Lord is our shepherd indeed ❤
Reminded me of my dear departed dad. He loved this psalm and also had a beautiful singing voice. Thank you.
