Fashions have changed, small well kept beards are WAY in right now to the point where it's more odd to see a gentleman without than with.
Anyway Phillip you look good both ways--do what you want!

These are brilliant. Phillip has such a great knowledge of the history of art and is so eloquent that even with just a camera following him around without cutting he can keep us all entranced. Excellent!

Thank you so much for these, Phil. It is so nice to find someone who views art and history with the same enthusiasm and in the same way I do. Objects such as paintings and buildings are wonderful but more so when the story or human factor is added. Like the people who lived in your house and the subjects in the portraits. I am still in isolation and look forward to watching the rest of these in the coming days.

What a pleasant surprise it was to see Art In Isolation on UA-cam this morning:) I just adore this series and appreciate you letting us into your home. Up to Episode 3, I am so enjoying these. Although I have lived and worked in Australia and New Zealand, there are so many resonances with my own work and interests in museum, archaeology, genealogy and history. As we looked at the painting of the portrait artists studio and the copy painting in progress, I recalled advertisements in 19th Century Taranaki (NZ) newspapers by a well known artist, for copies of a ship painting he had recently done - that is to say, that he had just painted the ship and was ready to take commissions to paint copies of it.

You are comfortable in your home and it really feels personal. Thank you. Just one thought of the bust carving.
