Sol is at the start of the naturist section of beach, about 3km long. I stayed at the sol twice, but prefer LasDunas, larger, more food and restaurants and entertainment, still only a 10 minute walk along the beach. The Las Dunas wristband works at Sol, so you can use the palappas, beach chairs, bar service and beachfront restaurant just like you were staying at the Sol.
Las Dunas is open for everybody. The resort has figure 8 pathway layout similar to Sol, and the west loop with the active pool has more families than the eastern loop, with the quiet pool. In slower times, like Feb, pretty much everyone is on the west loop, altho I have seen a few on the east loop. When its much busier, like in March, there are more people on the east loop but the west is busiest. I have stayed there 8 weeks in feb and march, it is just as gay friendly as Sol, and the front desk will cater to your requests for specific rooms or areas of the resort, especially if you email a bit in advance. Many of the families are from Argentina and come in multi-generational families. In addition to a 10 minute walk to the nude beach along the beach, there are overland pathways, and for a tip the golf cart guys will drive you to Sol and pick you up.
The food was limited, but always prepared well. We never went hungry. I don't think they had a 24 hour snack spot. We may go back again. It is a very well kept, and well run place for Cuba. My Mother, and Niece just went for a week and had a great time as well.
@brentandellesoutdooradventures I've been going to Veradaro for years..thought about trying a different spot..was this place close to the clothing optional beach area?
Oh my birth city
Love Cuba, the beach is amazing. We were at the Hotel Playa the same time when the water spout was out there. Crazy eh. Great vid.
It really was a surprise.
Soooooooo quiet ..... wow ....and beautiful. Like there is no people?
It was very quiet when we were there
It’s a busy spot … but very nice
Beautiful! How far up is the tower? Im heading there this week at Starfish. Id love to walk to it.
About a kilometre. I had planned to walk up more, but just got too relaxed. Enjoy. I’ve heard the Starfish is nice.
@@brentandellesoutdooradventures thanks
Nice .... is the Sol close to the "au natural" beach?
Yes. Up towards the tower.

Yes, if you turn left at the beach, there is a clothing optional section a little ways down.@@deanwoermke6590
You should have wet a line.
If I ever go back I would bring some tackle. We watched a 4 foot Nurse Shark swim by one day.
