Today its time to fly out the Mosquito FB Mk VI in a Realistic Battle. Flew out with the Mosquito yesterday for the first time since release of 1.79, Project X. And found out exactly what this plane is about, lets see how it went. Hope you enjoy :)

When you hear real accounts of pilots that flew ww2 planes, you realise that war thunder is completely off with flight models
yeah , it a few of the planes this is definitely the case.
to be fair, there's always gonna be some personal preference, but I think a bigger issue is how superhuman pilots are in WT, while gunners are nearly subhuman in effectiveness.

Oh boy, did the Germans hate the Mosquito. They yearned to copy it, but so few were shot down they couldn't manage to reverse engineer it. (The He 162 was the first mainly non-metal plane the Luftwaffe had ever had...there was little expertise in wooden plane-making in Germany as a whole, as the Ju 322 project showed painfully.) So Goering asked Focke-Wulf to make a wooden fighter....and they did, in the shape of the Ta 154...and maybe twelve of them saw service for about a month in 1945.
yeah, they absolutely wanted it :)
In real life, mosquito pilots sad that the plane is maneuverable like a normal one engined fighter and it's really good in dog fights, so yeah.... Gaijin is really underestimates the mosquito's skills. But nice video, like always.

there are 2 possible cases for this claim:
1st case: the pilots probably meant that the plane was good in night time dodge fight because it was built mainly as night fighter (most night fighters are heavy fighters because of the addition space required for radar). So that, In board day light, they couldn't out turn other one engined fighters
2nd case: The plane actually is as good as the pilots claim even in board day light but gaijin didn't simulate the plane correctly
@@TheBikeOnTheMoon another thing to keep in mind is that in WT, we pull high G turns far more than pilots did irl. The superhuman strength of pilots in game means that things are based more on aerodynamic and structural limitations than on ease of control. And to be fair, the mosquito IS still responsive in elevator at speed compared to single engine fighters, and climbs well
It was actually so good in WWII that German pilots were awarded 2 kills if they managed to kill a single Mosquito

It's kinda sad though because irl the mosquito didn't go 450kph I could go up to 450MPH who is around 724kph AND it would have maneuvred much better irl. As a British citizen I am disappointed in gaijin for underpowering it. Anyway nice vid thx😛

This thing would be Uptiered to 6.7 with the poor F7F unfortunately if they made it more powerful .

Beautifull and deadly plane in real life, but an sad pile of crap in game cause Gaijob cant get anything right. Shame.

They've really butchered the mosquito in war thunder.. too slow, weak and can't take a hit .. trying to ace the plane is next to impossible especially when always being matched with bf109s, you just can't dogfight and they always target you if you try to attack ground targets. Then the ridiculous repair costs just drain your silver lions... 🙄 gaijins hate for british tech is insane just can't compete whether it's tanks or boats. ...
its not as good as it should be thats for sure. Gotta work around it, which is possible.

Turn wep on and leave it on until you approach rip speed in a dive pretty much. Very hot engine with bullet damage maybe also back off… depending.

thats a difficult question ;) probably the the p-38's, which technically is a heavy fighter ;)

Just an observation in-game...I can't seem to find matches for Soviet Air RB anymore these days and even if I do,it takes forever to find it.Anyone facing the same problem?

War thunders basically unplayable if you dont play as an american , german or of course soviet . I just find it immature to bring your own bias into your game but not only that nerf countries you obviously dislike . I’m british and i just get so fustrated because i cant play my countries planes because they have the turning circle of a ship . I’ve just given up .
there's plenty of beauties in the brit line harry.
The only issue is it’s lack of strength when it comes to negative Gs. I’ve broke the plane doing maneuvers other planes have no issues

Nice video :-) My clanmates love Mosquito. I´am just disappointed with TA-152H it´s such slow :/ why Gaijin? :-( They promised FM will be repaired in 1.79

TA152H have to be very fast high altitude fighter, but this plane is very slow in compare with most fighter planes which is shame. Write something on forum is useless because Gaijijn hates criticism and they delete or ban all topics like this.

Jengar where in the replay? I tried for half an hour to do this. No luck though. Could you explain how you do it?
check in the settings, or controls of the replay, you'll find all kinds of commands for different camera views.
