I bought the 125bvx and dad bought the 125b. Both are about five years old, both have low compression now, in the area of 90psi. Never again. Stihl for life. Both of them have crystal-clean carbs (always ran E0) and are in immaculate condition including a new plug, air filter, and fuel filter yearly. Yes, I checked the exhaust port also. Not clogged. Just a big mess.
you absolute and utter legend. :) I just found one of these in hard rubbish, and I am going to try and get it working... And thanks to you I now have the knowledge.
Glad I could help
Hi, I have the same blower, I've replaced the ignition coil twice due to the poor design of the body rubbing against the ht lead and cutting it in half, your comments much appreciated, cheers
you mean the coil wire? id put some electric tape over it on that spot to help protect if thats the case.
I got a one for ya, I just replaced the carb and fuel lines and all that (the whole kit with the spark plug from Amazon), followed your video on that...and thx btw! Then I adjusted the carbs both high and low and idle screw. I got this thing running better than ever! The only problem is, when I shut it off, I have a hard time starting it again, basically need to wait for it to cool down. Any ideas?
coil might be bad. when it gets hot spark gets weak. try making the plug gap just a touch smaller. if that doesn't work then coil.
Thx, I'll look into that! I checked the gap on the new plug when I installed it, it was exactly 0.024 as per spec...will try narrowing it slightly.
hi, thanks for the video. here's the problem im having with my Husqvarna 125b blower. hope yall can help. new carb with fuel lines, bulb, spark plug, fuel filter and air filter. fresh fuel. compression is 65 lbs. cold. piston has some scouring but not bad. good spark at the plug but not really great. when its cold it cranks fine but when it gets hot it wont start at all. does this sound like a coil breaking down and if so anyway to test it? or any other suggestions will be much appreciated. damn thing is about to drive me crazy. thanks.
coil is weak. check plug gap as well. 65 pounds is the last psi it will run at its about done test compression when hot
Thanks souch.
Always welcome
thanks share this video.
Thanks to you
great info thanks alot
Glad it was helpful!
My purge bulb is not filling at all. It makes bubbles in the gas tank and one line has fuel but its not going through both lines. Bad bulb? Fuel filter looks fine but hasn't been replaced since I bought this 7 years ago or is there something else to check?
Bad lines or Bad carb sorry.
👍
I went to start my 125b blower yesterday and the primer bulb is now stuck in. i disassembled a little and if i pull the bottom line off the bulb it pops back out. Is this possibly a clogged line or is there something in the carburetor that needs to be cleaned or replaced? This is the first time this ever happened.
Time for new lines and filter.
@@smallengineguys i have everything apart now. The line are fine and this had no filter in the tank. Appears to be an issue in the carb. Can this be taken apart and cleaned?
@@smallengineguys filter was at the bottom of the tank. Line broke. Thanks for the help
Mine lasted a year wont stay running. Junk
gas is the issue not the machine.
I have one of these.. the biggest mistake I made was getting it in the first place…what a total piece of junk it’s crap 💩
Yeah do not buy them
My company has 2 that are less than a year old and bought new
Both don’t run
Probably compression issue or bad carb
Ridiculous
Bad carb gotta use non ethanol gas no matter what brand
@@smallengineguys
Under a year old and should be no issues with one let alone two
Have a craftsman and it’s ran fine for over eight years
@@ballsbeedragon5252 ethanol gas is good for 3 weeks. After that it will run your car. Poorly. But not a 2 stroke piece of equipment.
@@ballsbeedragon5252 remember. Coincidence is noy real. Something else is going on. Willing to bet you go to your auto parts store and buy already mixed non ethanol gas drain the tanks put in that fresh gas that one maybe even 2 will run
@@smallengineguys
I get what you’re saying but it’s doubtful
These were being used by two different crews that I manage and I’m confident they know how to use them
