Richard was a close friend of mine. I remember him not necessarily as the Architect of R&R but as one of the kindest and humble celebrities I ever knew. I miss his prayers at the end of each of our phone calls. He was an amazing witness for his LORD and Savior,

Too bloody true girl! Little Richard had a fabulous voice. I wish he had gone to record an album with a producer like George Martin that could have highlighted his great great talent. It seems like his early studio recording were his best and after that his live performances were better than his studio recordings. You know that saying "can't see the wood for the trees". Little Richard had a god given natural talent.
When you can sing....you can sing...souls...gospel...rock and roll...country....R&b...you name it...he could sing it.
I am not religious but when black people sing, I know that there's is something greater than myself and it's a part of me. Right now, tears are rolling down my face and they won't stop. Richard was amazing. May he rest in power among the ancestors. By the way, he really sounds a lot like the great Otis Redding, doesn't he?

Little Richard was a talented Preacher of the Gospel and he had excellent knowledge of the Bible, he could quote Scriptures like NO OTHER. Rest in Glory, Little Richard, you have definitely earned your Crown of Glory, Pastor Richard.

George, you are not the only one. Many of us did not know about his talent that he had and also it really showed his soul and heart when he talked about his dad on Donny's show. Her got really emotional I even cried when I saw that show. Watch it if you can and you can see for yourself, so beautiful and also so sad.

@@elvirabeener1336Richard's roots were in the church, I also believe he loved the Lord, I'm sure he was struggling with demons, the bible says bring up your children in the ways of the Lord and when they grow up. they won't stray far from from your teachings, even though he fell down God knew his heart so when he repented God picked him right back up again.I heard him preach a moving sermon about a year before he passed.. May he rest in peace...

Have you ever heard his last 2 major appearance speaking of the Lord Jesus and urging folk to give their hearts to God? Amazing just amazing. When I was teenager I had a big argument about Little Richard. Some one said, 'He will never last' , I said 'Oh yes he will'. Were they wrong or were they really wrong??? What an artist and stood the test of time. RIP, A living legend!!

This must been one of his periods when he put down the rock and roll and was trying to serve God. As you can see, he's not wearing any of his flashy clothing, no hair piece, no makeup. Just himself and God. He said he would go back and forth between the serving two different masters. The struggle is real.

I remember that period in his life. I remember reading his saying he had gone as low as he could go. He described himself and other in a room naked, high, and crawling around. I hope he got it right before he left her. I know his life story how as a child he was sexually abused by a neighbor which turned him. I'm not like others putting him in Heaven and can only hope he got it right. You are correct saying he went back and forward. Same with Marvin Gaye and his addiction. Both had trauma in their lives that opened a portal for demonic forces to enter.

I loved LR he played one of his last concerts in Hawaii wt Jerry Lee Lewis and Chuck Berry in the 90s and he had his bodyguards take me out of my seat to meet him, because my Aunty was in line trying to have a old 50s record signed for me and he wanted it, i offered to give it to him for free, but he paid me 600 dollars for it anyway. I told him that my Uncle had opened up for him in Hawaii in the 50s and that he was sick but still made it to see him concert, so Mr Richards had him go get him and He told the whole crowd to bow their heads to pray for him. I am forever moved and a fan for his giving his time and having absolutey due respect of power of Gods promise of healing.
