I used to have two dance teachers and they weren’t even close to fat shaming and telling me not to eat in order to look like a dancer.

I've had a similar experience, but it wasn't w. a dance teacher. It was w. a COMPUTER teacher, & he was a F'KIN' ASSHOLE!!! All he enjoyed doing w/ singling me out of all the students, distracting me away from my work, making me fall way behind everyone else, & not giving me the opportunity to catch up. And b/c of that, the SOB bastard deliberately FLUNKED me!!! He probably found out that I was part of the Special Ed. program, & thought he'd have fun @ my personal expense.
@@Marly_111 then consider yourself lucky, many teachers can be like this. my ballet company just recently got sued because of it.
also, it might be different depending on if youre doing ballet or another dance style (by the way none of this is meant to be rude but im just saying it does happen!)

Well actually for the dance teacher, acting like that is actually what happens sometimes
The proper reaction would have been to fire the dance instructor and get a refund. There was no attempt to encourage the student, it was all psychological abuse.
I would be hot and aggressive because no one deserves to be treated like that!

Dance helps people get healthy, make them happy. Sandra was already tearing down Carla by body-shaming her, not wanting to believe she was a good dancer!!! This mean teacher doesn't even have positive vibes, her meanness was too intoxicating!!! Psychiatry is needed for this nutter of a teacher, she was too nasty!!! Sandra kinda looked like one of my crazy teacher from high school who also happened to:
1. To be a dance teacher
2. Love to fat shame us female students
3. Love to criticise our looks
4. Forced curvy gurls like myself to skip lunch break and recess
5. Forced curvy gurls to run around da school infront of other students during lunch break (It was humiliating! Cuz of this we were very often made fun of and were even bullied for being 'fat')
And she was old like 60+. (Not age shaming but some older folks can be a tad too much.) It was also kinda sus she didn't get fired even after many students complained about her inappropriate and inhumane behavior.
I do sports coaching now. And yes, it's definitely detrimental for da body if one does vigorous exercises for five hours a day, everyday. Yo body needs time to heal and recover. It's one thing to have a strict workout routine but it's another to physically abuse one's body. Besides, everyone's body is different! Some of us are blessed to be physically stronger, others need more time to become stronger! So people just need to stop body shaming.
