The saddest thing is that not only her mom doesn’t believe in Kaia but the girl wanted to follow her passion and her mom acts like kaia’s part responsible if they lose everything & should be working like this at her age. There’s nothing wrong in helping your parent, but putting the blame on her back that if she doesn’t work and can’t even go to school then she shouldn’t be also trying to do something else or following her passion.
“People like us can’t afford to take chances” the saddest part about that sentence is that how many people feel despite their origin of home, culture and financial situations. Just hope anyone who reads this message can start having more self confident and be stronger

This is literally my life story..... I have always wanted to dance my whole life, but my family couldn't afford it. Finally, I told my parents how badly I wanted to do ballet even after all the years of asking. We looked into many places, and finally I did a trial class at a place by my house. I loved it so much, but we couldn't afford the monthly fee. Then the lady who owns it and teaches the classes told me not to worry about money, as long as I work hard and I have good grades. So now I am doing ballet at that studio, and I am paying her whatever I can afford, and I am so so happy! So this really touched me!!!!!
but what if we dont have the rigjt conditions in our town and i don't even know gymnastics and balket i like modern dance but idk if i can do that without being able to do gymnastics and ballet

Exactly! My parents never had faith in me to where they would not use me regardless of my abilities especially in sports. Ice skating was a sport of interest to me and so was being a Girl Scout. I have difficulties in my background because of all these mixes. I'm white but my families are black too. I get mistreated a lot too.
I come from a desi house hold I wanted to be a concept artist for animation and games my parents and family friends tell me that the position is only for white only brown people are supposed to be techs and vfx and 3D animators

It’s not realistic at all, auditions simply don’t work like that. Every time I watch a Dahr Mann ballet video I cringe so hard because they shot many stereotypical things and make people think that’s how it works. Sorry if this makes no much sense this is not my first language
These are the main videos that make me realise i can do anything. I am a child and Dhar Mann has inspired me to make good choices and follow my dreams. He deserves a nobel peace prize. ❤
Don’t get me wrong, his videos are enjoyable, but all of his videos either steal plot lines from movies or TV shows (but with lower production quality and scripts that really need a professional screen writer) or they’re identical plot lines that he’s already shot that he just films over and over again only changing minor details. So it’s great that people get something positive from his videos, because they’re definitely uplifting, but he doesn’t come up with the ideas, he borrows them. So I agree that the Nobel is a bit much.

I absolutely love all of Dhar Mann videos but this one REALLY hit home. The words “Be Realistic” are too familiar. I currently pursue music, acting, photography/videography and my mom just doesn’t get it. I have big dreams and I believe in myself 100% but without that support you can really get in your own head and in your own way! This video just let me know that it’s ok to keep chasing my dreams! When I was in 3rd grade, my teacher told the class to come dressed for the job you wan to pursue in the future. I decided to come as a ballerina, it was something I was very interested in. As I was telling my friends, my teacher overheard and told me, "you can't be a ballerina, its just a hobby" that broke me. I wish ignored her.
Thank you for the new upload. It got me to understand to not only keep trying after failing, but also do everything you can and maybe you'll get somewhere in progress. Makes me want to keep doing what I need to do to get better at something if I want to succeed in the end. Kaia showed kindness by offering values to her mom and her instructor, that's what I like about her after she succeeded.

It really is true, you should always do something that you like and enjoy life. I like how the mum wasn’t really against her daughter doing dance, it was really about how expensive the classes and outfits were. It’s a ice change from the parents not supporting their daughters/sons dreams. I can’t believe the daughter bought her mum a house, so sweet!. I am a 74 year old Grandmother turning 75 in April This brought tears to my eyes because IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY DREAM TO DANCE When I was a little girl I asked could I have Ballet and Tap Dancing lessons but I was refused and it never happened I have never believed that it was possible for me to fulfil my dream to have Tap Dancing and Classical Ballet lessons I am in my fourth year having Tap Dancing lessons and I have performed in 3 end of the year Dance Concerts and I am Dancing with younger people too I am in my 2nd year of Classical Ballet lessons and I will be performing in my first end of the year Dance Concert I am living my dream and I am having Tap Dancing lessons and Classical Ballet lessons at the same Dancing Studio that my Daughter Grandaughter and two Grandsons go to ALL you beautiful people out there DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS and age doesn't stop you from doing the things you love doing BELIEVE IN YOURSELF I LOVE DANCING ❤️ LOVE GAYE ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️
I absolutely love this video because it closely resembles my life. Growing up, I did ballet and other dances for years and years and got good and competitive! As I got older, my parents pushed me to become a lawyer and take all of these unnecessary extra curricular which made me quit the thing I loved. Half way through Harvard Law School, my sister and I quit and went straight for dance! It was a tough decision especially since it went against our parents, and we had to pay bills and rent some how, but we persisted and became a professional dancer! At the time, I didn’t feel like I could make it because of things not be able to get done because of it, however, I am so glad I took the risk and this video is inspiring people to take the chances they get!!!

It really is true, you should always do something that you like and enjoy life. I like how the mum wasn’t really against her daughter doing dance, it was really about how expensive the classes and outfits were. It’s a ice change from the parents not supporting their daughters/sons dreams. I can’t believe the daughter bought her mum a house, so sweet!. You should add music to all your future videos, it made it so much more entertaining!.❤️

I am a 74 year old Grandmother turning 75 in April This brought tears to my eyes because IT HAS ALWAYS BEEN MY DREAM TO DANCE When I was a little girl I asked could I have Ballet and Tap Dancing lessons but I was refused and it never happened I have never believed that it was possible for me to fulfil my dream to have Tap Dancing and Classical Ballet lessons I am in my fourth year having Tap Dancing lessons and I have performed in 3 end of the year Dance Concerts and I am Dancing with younger people too I am in my 2nd year of Classical Ballet lessons and I will be performing in my first end of the year Dance Concert I am living my dream and I am having Tap Dancing lessons and Classical Ballet lessons at the same Dancing Studio that my Daughter Grandaughter and two Grandsons go to ALL you beautiful people out there DON'T GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAMS and age doesn't stop you from doing the things you love doing BELIEVE IN YOURSELF I LOVE DANCING ❤️ LOVE GAYE ❤️ 😍 💖 ❣️

I absolutely love this video because it closely resembles my life. Growing up, I did ballet and other dances for years and years and got good and competitive! As I got older, my parents pushed me to become a lawyer and take all of these unnecessary extra curricular which made me quit the thing I loved. Half way through Harvard Law School, my sister and I quit and went straight for dance! It was a tough decision especially since it went against our parents, and we had to pay bills and rent some how, but we persisted and became a professional dancer! At the time, I didn’t feel like I could make it because of things not be able to get done because of it, however, I am so glad I took the risk and this video is inspiring people to take the chances they get!!!

Some people are actually suffering through kind of stuff and other people think it as a joke, but they don’t know what people are going through your videos could be based on a true story to the world, it is better to take chances then to don’t do it at all because just because you fail one time doesn’t mean anything! a you have much more chances it’s just not all in one chance u have a lot more, people who think your failing are just jealous of your success in the future they wish they can be you and I know that because one of your videos were based on a true story which was mine

I want to become an martial artist and weight lifter. I am good at both. My physical is too amazing. I always tell my family that I am good at these both but my mum always tell that "u should focus on study not on these. We are middle class family and Money is important for us. It should be better if u focus on your studies Rather than focusing on this. "
From now onwards I will start build up myself being in home. I will not allow that anyone will destroy my dream.
And being girl I will fulfill my all ambition. Not any person can ruin my life
Also think about you patents. What if you become what you want to become but you don't get enough money ? Dreams are for rich people who can find another job even if their dream doesn't work out . What will you do ? I am not trying to stop you but please be careful. Nothing is more important than family and money/comfortable life. So please , take care. Maybe get a job with money , save enough money so you will not go broke if things go bad and only then follow your dream because now you will have enough money with you to help you
