Marsch talked about the financial mess at Leeds and how bad that was, yet he's chosen to coach Canada where the national federation is in even worse condition.

JM looked for excuses for poor performance at Leeds.. he was way out of his league in the PL but I'm sure he is a better coach now and more than capable to manage a National team..it is true that the Italian owner was trying to sell Leeds but I do not think it was a "mess"..

@@solarenergynow08 I'm not talking about his skills, but about the real financial problems at Leeds, which he mentioned and then ignored to go to Canada, a place with much bigger problems. That's why his title includes "MLS" for a national team position.

In this case he is not depending on the signings, he has a good roster to work on. Canada does not have 20 good players, they have maybe 15 good players and he has to work with them

First he’s ever mentioned of this financial mess where he was allowed to spend £135mil+!

He's incredibly deluded. Not surprised he's hired by CSA. And paid millions for him? Even Guardiola is more humble than this thing.

From a personal perspective I’m glad he’s back coaching but it seems to me he has something against the US federation. He lives in Italy and always criticizes anyone associated with US soccer in higher up positions.

I think the best comparison about an American coaching Canada would be an Argentinian coaching Uruguay, which has happened now with Bielsa. He received a lot of criticism and jealousy from head coaches from Uruguay but he got the results and shut everybody up.

I know Jesse has to be confident in his abilities to be in this profession, but to me, he's always been someone who was a little high on his own supply; trying a little to hard to be seen as the smartest in the room. I don't know. I think Jesse commenting, "I wasn't treated well in the process" = "I wasn't treated well because I wasn't given the job."

Yep... The only real success he's had was at RB Salzburg, but that was just continuing what was already there. He has a giant ego without the track record or ability to justify it... Good luck to CMNT; I hope they (and Marsch) do well, but I want him far from the USMNT.

Goes to show the lack of respect CBS has, for both Heath and the actual product, that they dumped him for a guy between jobs

you have a point..JM was not my favorite to replace Bielsa at Leeds but I think he was a perfect fit for US team...much more experienced that the current dude with no experience outside MLS..US loss to Canada

Jesse Marsch is the worst manager in the game today. The way he talks you'd think he's been as successful as Pep.
