They should take the personal hideout and make it a guild hideout, pick an island that is your guild's hideout spot and when you sail to it playing a specific song your ship dives under the island and you pop up in a fully customizable hideout that you can add different training companies and cosmetics to.
This random pattern of courses would be so cool
My favorite forgotten feature was when you had a to 3 man a galleon because you didn’t have a fourth because they didn’t have the brig yet

When I heard about the gold curse being changed to being the same for everyone, my thoughts were keep it random and you can pay gold or doubloons to reroll for a different pattern. So everyone gets to kinda personalize they're curse.
Or just everytime you re-equip it, it rerolls

The personal hideout is definitely my favorite feature in the video. The idea of collecting decorations, hanging out with friends, and showing off your achievements with your hideout is such an exciting thought. I really hope they put it in one day.
the gold curse we love today? nah we hate it. i miss the randomizer. i quit hunting for the gold curse because they took the uniqness away from us

Gold curse wasn’t random, it was based on the body type your pirate had. Me and one of my friends at the time had the same body type and got the exact same pattern for our gold curse. I also remember Rare saying that the gold curse was supposed to be the same for everyone and that it being different was a bug applying the NPC gold curses instead of the player one.
Really would like to see the customizable pirate lair come back, still stings to lose out on that promise and pirate legend still feels extremely hollow compared to the rest of the game that has been updated and fleshed out from here to the ends of the earth. That, or possibly a Tortuga style social area, something akin to Deep Rocks space rig where you could meet and greet fellow pirates before setting sail, would be a nice alternative to fully random crews.
Honestly i miss Limited time rewards and events, not like battlepasses much more like cursed sails or festival of the damned, hell even skeleton thrones! the bilge rat adventures were so much in those early days :)

Isn't there a description somewhere that says ocean crawlers can randomly board your ship while at sea? I have never seen it happen or even heard of it happening to anyone.

The Kraken was some kind of « boss » of the game, in which you could win a lot of treasures. I remember at launch hanging around with my friends hoping to encounter it. It seems it doesn’t gives what was promised 🐙 S H 0 1 K

I definitely agree with the captaincy differences! Obviously they took a left turn at launch when all the issues came up but I think they recovered nicely!

I remember that they talked about an escaping chest, literally running away from the players. They mentioned it in a game live stream a couple of years ago. They had some issues with it, but I don't know whether they abandoned the idea because of them or just because they simply favored other cursed chests. Never heard about that again.
i think they should bring back the unique curses, but have the ability to change. for example, i equip the gold curse and its only covering my hand and nothing else. in the vanity chest, give me a prompt to 'reroll' the curse, giving you a brand new randomization so you can have a unique curse design without being restricted to a stroke of bad luck
I like the tavern. We need more things to do in the tavern, like a piano 🎹. Play some tunes for the crew (IZTD0TD0T)

I miss the cursed sails :/ but honestly want the personal pirate legend hideout cus that would have been so cool.
My favorite forgotten feature was different pattern gold curses. i think they can do 50-75% part of the body
personal Hideout to spawn into to Prepare your ship etc would be nice, so you dont get spawn killed by cringy athena ninjas at outposts before you even pull out of port
my fav forgotten feature is Arena they build it for shorter play sessions and then forgot about it only to dunp it for the same reason they build it shorter play times wich was just terrible development at that time

Being able to fight larger crews in hourglass as a champion, for no extra reward. So nobody uses this funcion.

My best forgotten feature is when everything wasnt an exploit and you had to put in the time. This generation of gamers grew up on particiaption trophies.
I loved the original megalodoon… rn they are easy and annoying, but it’s supposed to be a mythical beast!
I wish the gold curse would have stayed random. Maybe they can reverse the decision 😊

I miss that old creepy and eerie sound that used to play when your ship sunk in the alpha testing.

The Arena, The game mode was awesome, the cosmetics were good and the all in all was a good run while it lasted
A couple years back in a SoT podcast, Rare said they wre going to be testing different gun mechanics that would make shooting similar to the way most shooters work. There would be no bullet arc and more importantly no more hit reg issues. I play Insider every week and never saw anything like that being tested. Maybe they tested it on dev servers and scrapped the idea, either way that would have been interesting. GT SourSavageXD

Hi, my gamer tag is Elmo excessive and my favorite feature is actually the brigantine because before you could only play the sloop and the galleon but then they added the brig! My favorite boat!❤
each player having a different role with different equipment so it is much more team based would be pretty funny

Did you know that if you block with the sword and hit space while holding a directing to walk in, you will dash in that direction (never see anyone using it so I figured it'd count as forgotten, even tho it's in the game)
