Setting intentions instead of goals has single-handedly been the best change I've consciously made to my way of thinking. It makes my small wins matter even more than my "failures". Or as I now view it, my experiment that needs revising to test again.
My routine is waking up and walking to the gym at 6am, which really puts me in an energized mood! Then, I eat breakfast and go straight to class. I have more of a set night routine than a morning routine! Instead of morning pages I do night pages in my journal and meditate in the evenings :)
I try not to put a lot of pressure on waking up early in winter. It's so dark I always think it's a middle of the night. But thank you for motivation because I feel I need to start wake up a little bit earlier.
I always have two alarms in the morning set 10 min apart and it makes me feel great. The first alarm wakes me up and then I have 10 minutes to get some more rest or set my mindset for the day or think about my dreams, and this 10 minutes I have just for me and for my mind and I don‘t have to make breakfast or shower, because I will have enough time later because my first alarm is set 10 minutes to early so I have gurantet myself to have 10 minutes for literally nothing but laying in bed. I think your video was very good, I liked how you didn‘t try to push your morningroutine on others peoples lifes but help them to create their own. Thanks for that.
I lift weights each morning at 5am. Sets my day up for success. Each night I finish my day with yoga and 10 minutes of meditation/gratitude. Ends my day with a clear head and on a relaxed and calm note.
I love to listen to your speechs over and over. I swear I'm not a creep 😅 but I forget easily things. And you help me a lot to feel good and keep a positive mind. I'm so glad I found you in this huge youtube world ❤️
This was fantastic advice! I’m not a morning person and I hate routine - I work from home during the day and teach yoga at night. Which leads to a lot of dawdling up to noon each day. Never going to wake up happy before 8.30 (and don’t need to, since I often don’t finish work until close to 10 pm); but your advice is even helpful for me. Thank you!
The Girl Gone Green I recently started getting dressed for the day straight out of bed. It was a much easier thing to implement then I expected and it stops me from lounging around in sweats all day 🤦🏻♀️😁
@@TheGirlGoneGreen A few seconds on my arms and legs, brushing towards the heart, can sometimes get my heart pounding like I've just been for a run! People do it for their skin, I do it for my lymphatic system.
The reason I snooze is because I'm paran from past experiences to prevent sleeping through my alarm. So I have my alarm set at least 15min before I'm suppose to get up so my brain can slowly wake up. In the past there were times when my alarm would go off and I sleep through it or I'm not fully conscious and I dismiss it and end up falling back asleep. When I snooze it each time, my brain is waking up more. So that's why i do it but I wish that stuff never happened so i can wake up on the first ring successfully.
I function my best when I wake up one to two hours before I have to go. So, in that time, I sit there for five mins and let myself be/meditate, eat something, preparing food for the day and clean myself/put make up on. :)
In junior high, I learned the best way to NOT hit the snooze alarm: put the clock on the other side of the room. Having to actually get out of bed to turn it off has followed me into my adult life as well!
But the this is for me. I love to cuddle with my boyfriend in the morning. So here comes the snooz button! I put my alarm 30 min befor the actual time i have to wake up juste for that
I wish I could have a morning routine but my work makes me wake up at different hours. Sometimes I have two to five hours before going to work, sometimes I have 40 minutes and don't even have time to eat breakfast at home.
Oh no! It’s not always a good thing. I can go to bed at 7 am and still wake up at 8, my body is stubborn and if the sun is up then , “the sky is awake, I’m awake”

YES! It's huge! 💚 and then you are actively working towards it and not just following a to-do check list

And it's cold! I don't know how people do it

Maureen! Tsk tsk, no snoozing!
Oh and could you make a video about your minimalist closet? That would be so helpful and I really like your style! ❤️
Thank you, Lina 💚 I hope to do one in the future
Thanks for the video. I took a lot from it. Makes me feel motivated to create a morning routine that I could actually stick to. 🙂

💁🏽 Hey, it works! 😉
What's a MUST have in your morning routine?
The Girl Gone Green I recently started getting dressed for the day straight out of bed. It was a much easier thing to implement then I expected and it stops me from lounging around in sweats all day 🤦🏻♀️😁
Lately, dry brushing. Getting blood circulating is a good pep up in the morning.
The Girl Gone Green yoga, meditation, journal planning.
@jaclyn I haven't tried dry brushing before!? maybe that will be the next thing

This resonates very well with me xx

Love it! ... I would be tempted to crawl back into bed
So useful! Thank you :)

It’s difficult to maintain without a fixed schedule. I would see if you can find one thing to do everyday even on the early ones
I'm feeling called out by you not sleeping in past 9... I need to push my 6.45am alarm back to 6am.
Oh no! It’s not always a good thing. I can go to bed at 7 am and still wake up at 8, my body is stubborn and if the sun is up then , “the sky is awake, I’m awake”
Oh damn i'm not a morning person.
During quarantine neither am I😅
