Very nice performance of this beautiful, wistful concerto. Saint-Saens was a great composer who provided the world with extraordinary works in all genre. This was a relatively late work, dated 1918, at the end of World War I; the composer was valiantly trying to continue the great Romantic tradition, which was inevitably closing. It is a great work.
