you guys are lifesavers. Couldn't find any diy to install these with the winjets. you now have all my future business lol. Thanks.
Thanks this helped a lot. I have spyder headlights for my VW and was a little confused on how the HID ballast hooks up to the actual headlight wires. This explained it perfectly!
simply awesome, thanks!
Good Video. Thank you.
Not bad, I went with Toyota Denso Ballast from a Lexus LS460 and Innovated H7 5000k bulbs, it is the best HID setup I've ever had. But this is a good cheap alternative.
Can you guys please look into carrying the led switchback turn signal :)
Didnt post anything about the spyder headlights. They are different. Might want to explain some more on those for people like myself that have spyder not winjet.
So how would I go about installing HID's for the spyder headlights? since it doesn't have that extra hole like the winjets do
for the spider winjet what hid kit would fit it best would it be 6000k as well
Hi i have spyder headlights in my ford focus 2013, is possible to put a HID system or not? , thanks
where is a good spot to put the ballast?
On the spyder headlights it has a sticker on it that says HID bulb not allowed ?
@Daniel Adams what do you mean for customs?
Quick question. On the checkout screen it doesn't give u an option to choose between different HiD'S. Does that mean the kit already comes with HiD'S of your choosing?
It comes with an HID kit. You just need to note color choice is all at check out in the notes box.
what other brand of hid kits would be good for the spyder headlights as Far as having the right wires and what not. or are all hid kits come the same. I know all about the bulb sizes. it's the wiring I'm worries about
I have h7 bulbs and I want 8k sky blue
+Reno Roongruangkul The kit's are basically the same, the size of the actual ballast will differ. You can get the regular ballast, which is a bit thicker and is a little more difficult in finding a mounting spot for. The slim ballast, is not as thick and slightly smaller overall, making placement easier. One thing to remember about color temperature, is that the higher the number in kelvin rating, the lower the actual lumen or light output is. A bulb in the 3k-6k range will have an overall better light output as opposed to the higher temp bulbs, around the 8k-12k range and can result in possible eye strain at night. Hope this helped out.
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE:
Your video is instructing your customers to install a H11 HID bulb into the Winjet H7 housing. This is not the correct bulb size. Putting a H11 bulb into a H7 housing will distort the beam output since the focal point is not lined up correctly inside the projector assembly. For optimal performance we recommend to use a Xenonsplus Premium H7 HID kit for your Winjet Housings for optimal life and operation.

Great video!! What temperature HID bulbs did y'all put in the silver car? Also, how are the Winjets holding up in terms of quality?
Went with the 6000K kit from Diode. Winjets are doing just fine for us :)
Awesome! Thanks!! When ordering, do we need to specify bulb size in addition to temperature?
bcwass10 Yes, everyheadlight is different so you would need to find out what bulb fits the headlight unit.
This might be a total noob question but I heard that Halogen projectors are different from HID projectors. Some forums say that HID bulbs in Halogen projectors cause too much light dispersion and can glare too much for oncoming traffic. Is this true or am I full of BS? I would love to see the spyder headlights pointed at a wall to see the cut off line. I do want those with HIDs
No you are correct. Halogen headlight projectors are designed to scatter the light because halogens don't produce as much light. So when you install an HID bulb into a projector that was made for halogens, HIDs produce more light and that light is intensified and scattered everywhere. That is why you need a projector made for HIDs so that the light is focused and doesn't blind people. HID is High Intensity Discharge lamp not Hello I'm a Dickhead.
Coupon code not working....did it expire?
So this video is for installing H11 Hid's into Winjets (which have H7 bulbs) right? You should clearly state that in the description or title.
I'm assuming installing H7 hid's into Winjets is much simpler.... is that a correct assumption?
+xuimod The install process for h11 and h7 is identical.
The range on these spyder headlights are very poor and dangerous outright
Aftermarket headlights such as Spyder headlights can't be compared to OEM headlights. Its better to get the OEM headlights modded with a professional retrofitter. You're going to spend a little more but at the end of the day you'll get better quality parts and a great lighting output.
Joe Figueroa Stop spamming all the FRS lighting videos....
