A late afternoon to early evening session on the Rock Channel at New Brighton in search of some Smoothhound.
This is a potentially dangerous mark with a risk of being cut off by the tide. So if you havent fished it before I would strongly recommend going with someone with experience.
A very enjoyable session spent in good company on my local beach.

Many thanks Dom. Had some fun sessions with Jay 🎣😎
Good video friend
Many thanks for watching 🎣😎
Good session Rich, some nice fish there. Like the Rapala sling👍
Thanks Roy...🦈
I've always wanted to fish there but I'm not confident enough to make the crossing on my own so I tend to fish the steps and the Belfast blue bridge. Great job mate .
Thanks. It's not a mark to be messed with and if you are unsure then go with someone who knows.
Nice session there Rich, shame you didnt get that double but still nice fish🎣
Thanks Adam...still plenty of time for a double 😎🦈

Thanks Vincent...was an enjoyable session.
Great video mate.
Ive fished Perch Rock a lot for the Rays,
Was just wondering is there any other decent low water venues near new brighton that aren't rock channel? I want to take a mate but dont really want to wade out to the channel and ive heard perch rock isnt too good for hounds.
ALl the best and tight lines
Thanks for the comment J.C. Perch can be a bit hit and miss for hounds. You can catch them at the shore end of the rock channel by the T groyne on neap tides.
@@PerchRockFishing How does one get to the t groyne exactly? and i assume over low water?
Cheers for the info by the way
@@j.c8550 yes over low water usually fish about 3 hours down to low. T groyne is about half way along the prom, where you can park,...and you can get down to beach via steps or through a tunnel from the field behind
@@PerchRockFishing thanks alot mate, I'll be having a bash next month
Nice video one question what was the make & model of those chest waders you both were wearing please 👍🐟
Thanks for watching Gary....they are Bass Boots waders
@@PerchRockFishing thanks 👍🐟
