Nicole, indeed a wonderful video. Enjoyed all your reviews on the Shakespeare. However, I am envious of you watching all the live performances of the respective plays and the wide choices of OTT you have within your reach in London. In India, I have not yet seen The Hollow Crown Series as some OTT content is not accessible to our region in Asia. But, I am quite content with Ben’s Book Club, which surely makes up for all the shortfalls. Wish you a pleasant reading experience during the rest of 2024. Look forward to your intriguing videos. Best wishes and warm regards.🌹🌹🌹
Hi Anil, good to hear from you! Yes I feel very fortunate to be able to watch the shows! Shame about the Hollow Crown. Glad to hear you’re enjoying Ben’s course! Thank you :) best wishes to you too!
@@adayofsmallthings yes he is a good musician too - I really like him - that is the first time I kind of got to lnow who he was and since then have seen him in different things - and I loved his music for the Detectorists on BBC.
Is this your first time reading The Wind in the Willows? When I encountered Mad Toad, I found one of my first role models. Toad made stealing cars and busting out of prison look like fun!
I’m wondering, is it a good idea to read the notes on Shakespeare plays as I’m reading, or is it better to read the entire play through without notes, and only bother with the notes on a reread?
Hello 👋 I usually read the play through without the notes first with an audiobook, and check the notes the second round. Otherwise it’d take me forever and it’s quite discouraging how little progress I make and I’m in danger of giving up! Would love to hear how you get on :)
@@adayofsmallthings This is really helpful to me because I'm trying to read Julius Caesar as my first Shakespeare and the book I got had notes at the back of the book and it's really discouraging to keep on flipping back and forth. 😅 This time I'll read it with the audiobook 😁 Thank you!! ...any recommendations for a good audiobook of Julius Caesar?
@@ronciego9249 I loved Julius Caesar. Great choice. Really hope you enjoy it as your first Shakespeare! I listened to the BBC Radio Shakespeare production. It's available from Spotify, Audible (and my local library). BBC Radio Shakespeare is usually my go to. Good luck!
@@adayofsmallthingsI just finished Julius Caesar with a BBC recording, and I really enjoyed my time 😁. I tried reading 1 act a night. But by Act 3 I couldn't stop until the end! The audiobook definately helped. Thank you for the tip, it really helped 😃
@@ronciego9249 You finished it! That’s pretty quick. So glad to hear you enjoyed it so much and glad the audiobook helped. A strong start to reading Shakespeare - yay!
I was looking forward to your next update and lo and behold, here it is.
Thank you :) hope it’s alright!
Lovely video!
Thank you :)

Always looking forward to your shakespeare videos😊! They keep me motivated for reading !
Thank you :) I'm glad the videos help!
Yes I agree the all male Twelfth Night was brilliant, I thought Johnny Flynn was particulatly good. So interesting to follow your Shakespeare journey.
😱 I didn’t realise it was him! I also didn’t realise who was playing Viola! Just Googled. No wonder! I need to watch it again now 😆
