Its understandable why people are angry at the end of life. They are devastated and scared about the dying of someone they love. And sometimes, the family is arguing amongst themselves and/or someone may be viewed as the "troublemaker."
And just because a healthcare professional is working within the healthcare system, doesn't mean they know or have been trained in dealing with end of life situations.
In this audio, I am addressing a couple of tools I use when handling an angry family system that does not agree with each other. One of the biggest obstacles for handling difficult conversations is having the time to do it. Here a few of my strategies that I use very successfully to deal with some very tough situations and try and neutralize the disagreements.
