  • The fourth and final short video in the Fantasy Castle Cards series, The Angels & Castles A5 card image develops from a fairly random beginning. After abstraction it is once again the 'scrying' approach that evolves the environment which expands into the visionary artwork. Is luck something real? Uploaded as a 2013 Christmas wish card - I hope you enjoy it.
    Peace to all.

I love the angels. I've seen candles like that, where their wings sort of embraced the flame.
Beautiful card and lovely sentiment. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your loved ones.

Wow stunning, magical, and mysterious. It’s amazing what you’re getting painting with an iron. It’s the imagination you’re bringing to it that makes it spring alive! And I love how you share you thoughts, feelings and process. Thank you!

I like your planning or should I say unplanning, when you intuitive put the wax with iron on the paper. You follow your intuition and find your special look! I love it of what you do! I wonder where I can find the *golden pen* when you remove the wax as detail? I have started in Encaustic Art and I am still learning even if I do like you, follow the intuition. Wish you all the best!

It is called a scribing tool and has a point at one end and a blade at the other. Any pointed but not sharp instrument could be used. encaustic.com/shop/encaustic-art-scribing-tool/

I know you would keep this dry iron only for this work, but are you able to wipe all the colors off before you start on another color combo? Beautiful work!
