the barber shop i go to know that im a trans guy that i told them i go by he/him and my name is kyle and they have been respectful. which is great
that's awesome! there are definitely some good barbers/barbershops out there, but it can be scary finding the right one. i'm glad you have a good shop to go to
Kyle is a very cool name dude
omg a trans guy that doesn't have J in his name XD
my name is Jordan I just go. by the letter J or JJ lol
Kyle you have a beard, the bar is in hell.
Hey!! I’m Kyle too!! Yoooo!
I’m genuinely grateful for this. I’m a demigirl (she/they), and im helping my boyfriend with his transition (female to male), thank you so much for helping me.
Awww that’s so sweet!
@@Notliam.com101the fact that "sweet" is litterally in their name too,,
That’s such a nice action! :)
I am 15 in a very transphobic family and you really help me to get through this, thank you
i'm glad i could help, good luck with your transition, you got this
Hope your transition goes well! Good luck with your transphobic parents! Wish you the best in life! 😊
dont come out to them even if you want to but wait until you are financially stable enough and have your own house if they are transphobic you dont want to put yourself in unnecessary danger ik this is late
@@gh0st588 yeah ive already made my coming out when I was 14. Im 16 now and it did not get better at all, I dont talk to my dad anymore. The Good thing is that there's only 2 years left until hrt!
me too bro..💗
I'm 13 and I'm ftm too!
I don't have masculine clothing so I found this video very useful cause Im really bad at styling clothes
Same
Same! I mainly have "feminine" clothes but I'd recommend a lot of plaid, graphic tees and sweats or baggy jeans
@@justaIostboywhy in ""?
@thegovtdoesntcareaboutyou bc I believe that clothes shouldn't really have a gender, you're wearing what makes you comfortable and it shouldn't have a label on what gender it's meant to be for, I feel uncomfortable in what people consider feminine clothes because it associates with my gender assigned at birth and it really shouldn't be that way!! if I didn't have that association in my head I'd love wearing those clothes but it is what it is yk

I feel like haircuts matter so much at least to me. After I got my hair cut short I was instantly more confident even if I was still uncomfortable with my body. I felt a lot better about how my face looked and I didn't hate any picture I took of myself anymore.
that's exactly how i felt!! i had hair the length of my shoulders or longer my entire life, and absolutely hated my face and any pictures that were taken of me, but the second i finally got an undercut, i felt like a brand new, confident person overnight. it's insane how much a haircut changes
Same! Getting my hair cut was the first step to realizing I was trans for me
@@hazeld8016same
I just bought old spice deodorant from target and I just keep picking it up and holding it because it makes me so ridiculously happy like I don’t even know for sure if I’m really trans or not but at the moment it feels right and this stupid deodorant makes me so happy
i used to love old spice, can't find it anywhere in italy but they have some great scents
@@aktdoa I got the deep sea or whatever scent and it smells really good, I wonder if you could order old spice online?
Me last month, I've always liked manly things over girly things (except for actual like women lol), my dad got me an old spice as a gift for my bday and I've been using it every single day I just get so happy whenever I use it Yipeee
I had top surgery last year, but I’m not on T yet so I still struggle with passing. Thanks for making this video, lots of great advice!
Hey im a 13 year old ftm too and i have a very very strict transphobic family i was forced to wear a dress they dont accept me support me or anything else so its a relief to find other trans guys sharing their opinions life storys and tips thank you very much.❤
I feel you on this ❤ we'll get through this soon enough
Something I think has helped me a lot in passing pre T, is cologne and body washes. I stopped using ones that were marketed towards feminine presenting people.
I have been using Stetson cologne and men's care body washes. Tried a few different scents. All of them have been great and help with the feelings of dysphoria and passing.
Currently on the 2-7 year trans healthcare waiting list :( I just turned 18 and have rather feminine facial features, so I’m often uncomfortable at work or in public because I’m usually misgendered every minute “lAdiE, MiSs” aswell as a family I’m forced to live with that don’t respect my identity. Everything’s just discomforting pain rlly :( I’m never safe and I have to wait 2-3 years for even my first appointment
i’m really sorry to hear about that, im sure it’s painful to experience that every day. is it not possible to go private where you live? i understand it can be expensive to go private but maybe there’s an affordable clinic or something nearby
You have no idea how much this has helped. My parents aren’t transphobic toward others just me and I’m terrified to come out as trans (I’m out as non-binary but my parents deadnamed me everyday) but all this stuff had rlly made me feel better and more masculine. Thank you so much you have no idea how much serotonin you gave someone with a severe chemical imbalance! Also I’m glad to see someone giving advice and tips, thank you for being one of those people.
I’m sorry to hear about your parents, I’ve been there and it sucks! Hang in there, it gets better :) I’m glad you enjoyed my video, thank you for the support
Who has two thumbs and is out? This guy!!! I came out to my parents it took my mom a while to adjust but she’s okay and my dad was fine immediately. I came out over text and got support. Anyway my mom is still kind of distant but she didn’t say she hated me so that’s a win in my book. Anyway my parents and I are looking at me taking testosterone and looking at different names.
no way, that’s great!! even a small win is still a win, im happy you’re doing better man :) keep us updated on your new name and shit
My parents are also only transphobic towards me. I guess it's better than them being transphobic to everyone but it feels like if they were transphobic to everyone, then at least it wouldn't be personal. This way, it feels like they just hate me. They've got this idea of me in their head that they came up with and as a child, I just went along with it because they told me to and I was a good kid. Now I'm realizing I'm not that person and they're so surprised and shocked and horrified and hurt and I'm just so done at this point.
@@hazeld8016 well even if I don’t know you, I love you. Even if your parents don’t seem to love you there will be tons of people in the future or even now that love and accept you ❤️❤️
Thank you so much! This was really helpful and short and to the point
Also loved the reference to Harry 😂
glad you enjoyed the video & the Harry reference 🤠
i just started the video so idk if he mentions this but, short nails and letting your (preferably black) nail polish chip before repainting it. for me it makes my hands look more masculine. or having paint and marker on my hands bc i'm an artist. just looking a lil more messy
Hi Dakota! This is great, thank you(: In the process of transitioning and I just started T so I appreciate the video (:
glad it helped you out!! love that people are enjoying it:)
I am happy because a substitute teacher in my biology class referred to me as a boy even though it was on accident i was still very happy i got called something other than her or she
Im a open 16 ftm and this video appeared just like gates of heaven opened to me, i swear 😭 thank you im so new to this, i "discovered" that im not a girl this year (edit: ok no, it's been a while now) and HOLY MOLY it's been a roller coaster
I still have a thing tho..im a guy who likes feminine things a lot and...im still in the "wrong body" y'know- but when i correct people for who i really am, i feel so SO SCARED like..i don't wanna pass the image of someone who it's "ohhh LGBT just bcuz it's trendyyyy" but when i try to be who i really am i feel so afraid idk-
As another fairly feminine trans guy I've been trying to think it the way that honestly doing and liking and wearing whatever you want (as long as it doesn't hurt others, of course) is a pretty manly thing to do. Be proud of yourself. Liking feminine things doesn't make you any less of a guy and if others think differently, they're just fools.
It's not always easy of course and I'm also noticing that I'm avoiding some of my cutest pieces of clothing now that I'm very early in my social transition, and also it depends on the situation and the people around you, how much their perception of you actually matter. But slowly I'm building my confidence more and more. I wish you the same!
i remember when i was 11 i got my hair cut short because i wanted to look like a boy and they gave me the most karen ass haircut 😭
i was lucky enough that most of the masc haircuts I've gotten throughout the years didn't look like Karen haircuts but it really is my worst nightmare😭 and why I always show references of men with the hair I want
I wanted to get my hair short js because it was cool. The hairdresser said that those who get their hair short at a younger age don’t go back. I think that was the start of my trans discovery
Thank you for making this video. I have always thought of myself as male (even in my dreams im a male 100% of the time) but most of my life I've looked very female, i tried that for quite some time (im probably old enough to be your parent) and just recently "came out" im on T and waiting for surgery but want to present male as much as i can. So i truly appreciate your video. I've watched a lot from many trans men, but i like the no bs down to business real style of yours. You seem to be a very wise young man. Thank you sir.
I would add: Platform shoes? No that's not the right word, but the ones that add an inch to two inches to your height help.
Also take up space! If you watch "cis" people Women tend to make themselves smaller, men spread themselves out.
thanks for the support on my video! i would def say platform shoes can help, i have some boots that have thick soles. they probably don’t give me more than an inch or two but every inch counts!
Im ftm too! Im a pre T trans boy and these tips helped me out, im out to my family and they are allies and im grateful they are supportive even though sometimes they are hit and miss, I got a very masc haircut like 2 months ago after getting my hair cut short, . Also I find it cool that your italian, Im canadian but I have italian, arabic, hungarian and austrian heritage and im a second generation immigrant to canada. I came out I believe 4 months ago and im binding and packing. Sorry for this off topic ramble but thank you for helping me pass, Ive passed pretty well recently thanks to your video and a few others though people think im younger then I actually am.
im a year late but i need this video!! im pre-T and all that, so it’s annoying! some dude was creepy to me and my mom and was like “heyyy ladies” 😐 i glared at him and it kinda ruined my day
For pree teens/teens (me) I found that if you're on your period use toilet paper but like, more of it to pack because it bonuses as a pad and it don't feel like a diper. 👍🤣
I’m genderfluid so I will never take T, these videos are so helpfull.
glad you liked the video!

I love for binders from wonababe or somting they are really soft (for all my autistic friends they are the only binders witch I get no sensory issues from)
Thank you so much!
As a queer person, thx for this video!! I’ve been considering buying a binder for a while, but my family isn’t accepting :’3 I wanna buy one when I transfer to a 4 year!❤️

THE WAY HE STARTED THE VIDEO
You pass great bro
Do you have any tips on binding with sports bras? I tried wearing two of them but I still had a feminine chest. Maybe my sports bras were too loose??? I just don't want to affect the tissue and wear something too tight.
wearing two sports bras is basically the best way to bind without an actual binder. try wearing one on backwards -sounds funny but people say it works!
A sports bra + tape works p well
did you ever have trouble with trans tape? because I use kt tape since it’s easier to get and I get blisters and rashes from it. I was just wondering if you had a similar experience with taping.
yeah KT tape fucked my skin up a lot, that's why i switched to trans tape in the end. it was a bit of a learning curve learning to apply it but once i figured it out it works WAY better! plus they have kits on their website that include healing salves and removal oils to help avoid blisters and stuff
The first time I tried transtape, I hurt my skin after I took it off between 12-24 hours after putting it on, which I think is when the stickiness peaks, so maybe just waiting a little longer to take it off would help
I used kt tape as well, so far I don't have issues, I just try to not use it every day (and to not put it on my nipples), but I've heard you're supposed to be able to sleep in it, which I can't do, I've tried a few times. Every time i try to sleep with tape on it's just uncomfortable and I have anxiety for my skin and slight discomfort from the pulled skin, but no blisters/rashes/redness.
hey dood nice video dood
everyone tells me i pass flawlessly when they find out but im still watching just to make sure
Ok i'm new to your channel so idk if you maybe already answered my questions in another video, but here we go
1. I tried taping with pinotape from amazon (following a video guide by transtape) and althoughnthe tape itself was quite good, i had an allergic reaction to it. Are there shops that offer different glue-options?
2. And also: what do think about wearing tape&binder?
I have always had disproportinately big boobs so taping + binder worked best for me (i just had to stop bc of my allergy). Is there an incresedndanger to my help if i do so? The binder above the tape just flattens the last curves out and brings everything a bit more in shape for me...
3. Unrelated to that, i find it really hard finding trousers that suit me without emphasizing my curves. Which kind of trousers should i look for, what are they called?
1. i’m not sure if there are other tapes that use different glue, the best way to test that is probably to just use different tapes and see if any other brands don’t make you have a reaction!
2. wearing tape and a binder at the same time is probably not healthy in the long run, especially if you’re doing it for longer than the recommended 8-10 hours.
3. i find most of my pants from Uniqlo, Zara, and H&M! i have also heard good things about the clothes that Amazon sells. i would look for baggier pants, like maybe cargo pants or something boxier like that
The Video was helpful, thanks.
I still have a question left: the trans tape Shop Comes from the US and I'm not allowd to order from non Europan contrys. Do they also ship from Europa or do they have a Shop site in Amazon? The problem is the shipping time and taxes...
Good question - i lived in the US when i bought from them so i never thought about their international shipping. based on Trans Tape’s website they do ship internationally, but i know the customs fees and shipping times etc can be troublesome. i can do some digging to look for a similar company based in the EU!
@@aktdoa this would be grade.
I have a huge problem with binders because I feel claustrophobic and encaged in them, and they also constantly remind me of a bra. But I can't buy or order the binding tape from where I live, and I feel so terrible 😔 in winter i can just throw on a hoodie, but in summer i feel like dying 😢 I'm dreaming of the day I am financially independent and move out and get a top surgery. I guess I gotta survive till then.
Thank you for the video!
There are alternatives to the binding tape if it’s not available where you live! You can try looking for regular athletic tape, just make sure you buy the “kinesiology” type of athletic tape, since that has the type of adhesive needed for taping your chest.
@@aktdoa thank you! I'll see what's available to me.
Thank you so so so so much!!!! I’ve been going genderfluid for about 2 years but I’ve kinda decided I want to go fully ftm 💪 just a question though (I may have missed it if it was said in the video or whatever) but what safe ways to deepen your voice would you recommend? I sound like a 9 year old girl all the time and whenever I do attempt to deepen it I sound like a 4 year old boy (which isn’t deep at all tbf) 😭 what did you do to deepen yours?
i took testosterone, that’s really the main way it deepened. i tried voice training early on but i don’t think it helped much
Something funny is that I have to get a really small waist, so small that American eagle doesn’t have stuff that fits. Plus I have long legs. XD
How do i get the binder strap to not show under my tshirt? Like i buy oversized tshirts frm h&m and the binder straps show like both from the front and back. Do you have any tips on that? Thank you in advance
sometimes oversized shirts hurt you more than help you, cus if the neckline shifts too much it exposes your binder straps. i would recommend looking for shirts that have tighter and/or higher necklines, tank tops that have thicker straps, stuff like that.
I often wear white lined undershirts under my clothes. Lots of cis guys wear them and if anyone asks you can just be like “oh I have really pointy nipples” or “ah yeah some of my t-shirts are kinda uncomfy but I like how they look so I’m just wearing an undershirt under my shirt. Hope this helps. :D
@@aktdoa will try it thank you!!
Omg I've never seen him before and I just saw this video and had absolutely no idea that he was female at birth. I don't know what to feel😳 lol!!
what was ur tape application? I've been trying for nearly a year and idk how to make it flat properly
it’s hard to explain thru text, but basically i would cut the strips to the length i needed and then apply it over my nips first before pushing my chest to where i wanted it to sit and applying the rest of the tape! there are some tutorials i’ve seen on tiktok and youtube as well you could find
My legs are so long. Even though I'm a transguy, I have trouble finding pants that are long enough -.-
It's better than when I was trying to find women's pants, but a lot of the time I can't find what I like in my size.
I was really scared of speak up. I was a really quite person that why i was start to learn how to cut my own hair it's not that great but that working for me. Also do u have advice for how to walk? Or type of glasses that u recommend?
I'm sure your hair looks great! As for walking, cis guys tend to walk with their chest and shoulders puffed out a bit, and they usually have a wider stance to make room between their thighs. But people really don't pay that much attention to how you walk in my experience!
@@aktdoa Oh thank u so much!
U look like ed sheeran 😢😂❤
when I was 13 I was a lesbian and i owned 2 binders and I didn't even know they were binders i thought it was just a sports bra then later on I became transmasc and got a binder it was the same fucking one!!!! why the fuck did i get rid of it? I could of saved so much money!
i literally cant do much with my hair bc of my hair type and my family doesn’t trust me to take care of it properly anymore so i just get extensions now, so.. tips for making long hair/extensions look more masculine? i tried but idk how jsnsm 😭
Can someone give me some tips because I have asked my mom to buy me chest binders but she has refused. (She said that she MIGHT buy me sports bras to flatten my chest more but thats it.) But this is because she is scared for my safety (which I can respect although it bugs me.) Any tips for being able to bind w/o a binder/trans tape?
using binders and tape are the safest options for binding, especially because nowadays there are so many reputable companies that make binders in the safest manner possible. of course you should still never wear a binder for longer than 8 hours, never exercise or sleep in them, etc. but they are a lot safer now than they were when i first transitioned and started binding. doubling up on sports bras might flatten your chest depending on how large your chest is, but it’s still dangerous and could be harmful because of the constriction and pressure on your chest/rib cage.
I was so surprised you were able to go out topless with just the transtape on! Is it legal? did you get many odd looks or comments? I have ALWAYS wanted to be able to be topless outside, but i dont want male attention. T_T
I'm not sure why it wouldn't be legal, since my chest was fully covered by the tape - no nips out or anything LOL. I never noticed myself getting any weird looks, but then again I was never really paying attention to see if anyone was. I personally think taping seemed more natural than going out in a binder, and I was very fortunate to have a small enough chest that I could do so.
It is legal! At least where I am in the US, people of any gender/sex can be topless in public spaces (public parks/beaches/pools/etc.).
🏆
I LITERALLY GOT CONFUSED IF YOU WERE REALLY TRANSMASC LIKE BRUH HOW DO YOU DO THAT WILD CIS PASSING 😦😦😦😦
i've been on T since 2017, if i didn't pass, it would be a problem lmao
is there any difference between transtape and kt tape?
yes! i've used both - transtape is a lot easier to use + gentler on skin. their starter kit has transtape, removal oil, and healing balm, all of which helps the binding process go as smoothly as possible. KT tape isn't meant to wear for long periods of time, it's meant for protection against injuries, and the adhesive is much harsher on the skin (i would often get rashes/blisters from it). transtape also has different skin tones/patterns and sizes of tape for different sized chests
This is very helpful but how do ik if the binder/tape is good? Like I dont wanna hurt myself, but I'm 14 and I dunno what to do my only resort is Amazon so should I just wait it off? Also does top surgery affect 'pleasure' bc my step dad has told me not to get it bc of that and I'm torn tbh..💔😭
Hi! Don't worry, it's not as complicated as it seems. I would recommend buying tape off of Etsy, supporting small and reputable shops instead of dropsellers on Amazon (plus their reviews are more likely to be accurate and from real people!)
Other sites for binders/tape that I recommend:

spectrumoutfitters.co.uk/collections/binders

For top surgery questions - I have some videos up where I talk in depth about the whole process, if you'd like to see those, they're on my channel under "FTM VIDEOS!" Top surgery can affect the sensations you feel in your nipples, but it depends on a lot of factors, like what type of top surgery you get, how your surgeon handles the procedure, and how your body heals. For example, I got double incision top surgery, and my nipples were grafted back onto my skin. So, I don't have any erotic sensation in my nipples, they just feel the same as the rest of my skin on my body. Hope that helps!
@@aktdoa tysm I'll check it out!!
i have the side clasp binder but I bought it from a trans owned small business in my city, is it still dangerous?
i don’t think the brand matters, it’s more about the style/type of binder. i personally just don’t think any side clasp binders are the best choice!
@@aktdoa okay... 😭 thanks for that info
I had/have side clasp binders (I don't wear them anymore, just haven't tossed them yet), and they always left soreness and red marks under the clasp bit that lasted for quite a while after taking them off. Just from personal experience, I'd recommend tank top style binders (but avoid gc2b's tank top binders, they slip up *_really_* easily), but to each their own :)
I pass in public I old woman called me handsome young boy after saying good morning but my voice is really weird and whatever...
My anger is bad and scared that it will get worse if I get on testosterone
if that’s a concern for you it’s smart to talk to your doctor about monitoring your dose and your testosterone levels so that they don’t skyrocket too quickly. you can also see a therapist for anger management!
@@aktdoa ok thanks 🙏🏼
from a man, i tend to have my hair cut in the most practical and normal way possible. in terms of clothing, i wear the same drab clothes day in day out for well over a decade. just be a slob and don't dress to impress anyone, then no one will mistake you for not being a man.
My parents don't know I'm trans and if I tell them they'll probably get mad and feel lied to, I was going to get a binder from amazon it have it sent to my friends house where she would give it to me secretly next time I came over. But since it's from amazon and you say those can or WILL be dangerous, plan fail q-q
i would recommend ordering one from a company like Underworks or Spectrum or something.. since you’ll be shipping it to a friends house anyways, there’s no risk of your parents seeing the package and most binder companies say on their site whether they ship discreetly or not!
Can anyone give me tips on how to pass as a male? I'm 13 in a very transphobic family...
my birth name and current name is dakota😋
Iv noticed you go back & forth wearing nail polish. Is this your flair or are you concerned this might make it harder to pass
it doesn't mean anything, sometimes i paint them sometimes i don't
I live in a transphobic family and transphobic country. I coming out one year ago but I still dressed as a girl because I didn't want trouble. I I thought I am fake trans or genderfluid or just a silly kid. But I realized I'm not. I am a boy inside and now I don't care the people opinion. I don't want to accept the transphobic world influence.
ou really help me to get through this, thank you!!!!
I cant buy a binder, what can i do?
look into athletic compression tops! or you can double up on sports bras, but be careful as this can cause pain and discomfort especially during exercise and may be dangerous for your ribs
Maybe i should buy a better binder
definitely one of those things where you pay for what you get
@@aktdoa yea, i hope i can get it from somewhere

I need help anyone. I'm not ftm but I am AFAB. I am trying figure myself out. So I'm kinda experimenting. I feel more She/They if that makes sense. I want to flatten my chest a bit but not too completely. Sometimes completely. I just want to shrink them down a bit. I'm almost 20 y/o and I'm going college, so rn I live with my very transphobic parents. They are very controling so I almost can't buy the things I want and I have no car so they have to drive me. I just want to know if anybody else has any other alternatives to this. And if they asked why I need it, what do I say.
Thanks!
(I plan to move out as soon as I graduate college. I'm not in danger so don't worry)
There are compression sports bras by brands like tomboyx. They’re good for sports and such, the excuse that you just want to take up running more is a pretty good one. Or if that’s possible, just that you don’t like how your chest fits in some clothing. I know some people also double up on regular sports bras
transginger
Idk what to do, my parents hate gay people and trans people, legit won’t let me go out on my own and buy stuff and I can’t ship a binder to my friends house bc their parents are also transphobic IDK WHAT TO DO I REALLY WANT A BINDER
Do you have sports bras?
Use sport bras or even ask for a pickup option, if you ask your local postal office if they can just hold your package and you go pick it up, it may work
cutting your hair on your own solves some problems

Here's some more tips for any girl thinking of becoming a boy or who's already making/made the transition.
1. Do not take drugs or alcohol; you don't know what you might end up saying or doing when you're high or when you're drunk and it could mess up your meds.
2. Do not shout or speak loudly; your voice will go high.
3. Be aware of your legs, arms/elbows and your wide hips; there's no surgery for those but you'll still have to try your best to learn to move and walk something like a man.
4. Do not commit crime; you do NOT want to get sent to a men's prison.
5. Be careful in men-only environments or maybe just avoid them altogether especially those where everybody's naked. Also see number 3. Also see number 4.
6. Avoid men-only physical sports; you will get your butt kicked very hard.
7. Hit the gym; you'll have to work much, much harder than the guys for not very much gain but every little helps. Also see number 3.
8. Watch your diet; if you get fat, it'll settle on your hips, buttocks, belly, upper chest and under your upper arms (batwings, aargh!) Also see number 3. Also see number 7.
9. If practical, wear footwear with insoles or thick soles to try to look a bit taller but not quite like Elliot Page or you might look like Herman Munster.
10. Avoid growing a beard; it will grow thin and uneven.
11. Avoid feminine mannerisms; obviously!
12. Don't wear nail polish if you want to pass; guys don't wear nail polish.

kinda sad how you go out of your way to find videos of trans people just to get mad at them. i doubt anything i say will make you reconsider your beliefs but at the very least quit forcing yourself into trans spaces and making people uncomfortable, its not a good look.

I don't go out of my way to find these videos, it's pretty easy.@@dirkroxy
