Flip your old pad over and use it to push against. don’t put those channel locks on the pistons.
Use a power motive bleeder . Good S$$$T. Makes bleeding the lines so easy. IMO it’s so worth it!!!
Does the 2015 wrx and 2015 sti have the same brake lines?
Changing only that part of hose enough? The rest of it steel or rubber?
Steel, that part is only rubber to prevent road debris from nicking or damaging a rubber line.
At the risk of being “that guy” is a bleeder pump absolutely needed?
No, a bleeder pump is not a necessity, but it does allow you to do the job yourself easier.
