    Excellent video, and straight to the point! I just tore my V10 down with the help of this video. I had an issue where the motor would not turn on, and the filter light was not working when the filter was off while pushing the trigger. The motor board was wet, and I dried everything, cleaned it and now it works great again! Thank you!

    You’re making me so happy with the uploads. Maintenance, repair, and just fixing vacuums up for the best performance are some of my favorites to watch. I love taking things apart and putting them back together again. Your videos are spot on. This I know will come in handy one day. Saving this to playlist. Keep the videos coming I always enjoy them! Thanks mate! Got a v10 for £95 today but it stinks of wet dog. Getting down this far had allowed me to fully clean it :)

    This video really helped when I used a damp filter and it deposited moisture on the circuit board. Pretty sure my wife would have at least figuratively killed me, mercilessly scolded and likely had another appliance ban imposed(I'm already not allowed to use the washing machine and dryer, lol).
    A true lifesaver and what's left of my dignity thanks you so much :)

      what exactly did you do to repair the moisture on the circuit board? I might be in the same boat. Thanks!

      I initially tried to blow warm air with a hair dryer into any openings I had access to. This proved to be fruitless. I pretty much had to disassemble the vacuum to where I could get access to the circuit board on the back of the motor. Once I dried the visible moisture on the board it worked perfectly.

    I just went to a Dyson Vacuum shop to buy a Dc04 today but the man said they dont sell them anymore. So then he told me you can have this Dc07 Origin for free here but it needs a clean and it doesnt work. I took it home plugged it in and it fired up. Went to town got two filters because the other one was dead dirty and i didnt want to wash it and i also bought a pad filter and also some belts. Now it works good. So i have a Dc07 Origin now!

    Informative video and the lighting was good. I greatly enjoy videos that get straight to the point as what you have done.
    You make disassembling and assembling complex machinery not as intimidating.

    Great guide, many thanks! I had the constant filter LED, despite having cleaned the filter carefully. I stripped the head down until I could see the motor PCB, and there was a combination of moisture from my improperly dried filter along with carbon soot from an open fireplace caked over it. Some drying time, then a light brush with a vacuum hose nearby and it's working like new.

    What is the little black and red bottom wire connector brakes on the motherboard can I still used the vacuum??

  • @Robonza

    Nice video mate. So where do you get the red trigger plastic replacement? The aliexpress ones are crap and break very quickly. I have designed a laser cut splint that glues on top that is rock solid and stronger than original and do about 10 a week. But a new trigger would be nicer.

    1:18 after you say "bend these 2 metal pieces"
    the video skips and the motor is suddenly outside of the handle - how?? mine is still stuck there.
    I can see 2 screws inside under the engine but I can't reach them because of the angle..

      Use a flat screwdriver to pull the motor out gently, the motor housing comes out with all the mentioned screws removed the wires out the way

    in the purple top filter we're finding little bits of like black plastic fragments of some kind of screen, I can't tell exactly, but it looks like inside the motor housing that sticks into the purple filter, behind the little holes there is some kind of black plastic screen...? does it start to break down over time...? is it a problem...? is it something that can be replaced...? (it seems to make the filter light flash more often than it used to) thanks...!

    • @parwaz7861
      @parwaz7861  3 місяці тому

      Do you mean the foam filter inside the motor housing? I wouldn’t worry about that, it’s only there to attempt to insulate noise from the motor, it’s like a very porous sponge material and it can break down over time due to the fragility of the material. I believe the filter flashing light is most likely due to either a blockage in the machine or the HEPA material of the filter being clogged in its small pores

      @PRH123 3 місяці тому

      @@parwaz7861 hi, yes that's it, I found some photos via Google of people finding identical little bits of plastic, they look like little tiny black plastic dogbones, and they say they come from the sound reduction sponge...
      Good news is that it doesn't affect the operation...!
      Amazing that to get access to the sponge literally the entire vacuum and motor have to be disassembled. They could have just put a little lid in the end of the motor tube... :(
      Thanks...!
