    Excellent video. I replaced my son’s calipers but I’m almost positive,from what I’ve read elsewhere, that the factory only puts a dab of oil/grease on the pins. Thanks again. New sub!

    You should have replaced both brake hoses too because when they are old they come apart instead a clog up the caliper inside of it also you should have replaced both calipers like replacing both 👠 shoes you don't replace just one you replace both of them in sets because you have one new one and a old one you can have a brake pull from that it happened to me before have a blessed day and thank you for your videos 😊

    great video . I would have pumped that piston out and cleaned it up .. Like the slide pins , everything hot brake wise tends to dry out and either go stiff or solid . when assembling the pad sliders use some anti seize grease on the metal caliper faces . and blue loctite on the caliper bolts .

    • @Donnythelatemodeltech
      @Donnythelatemodeltech  2 роки тому

      I don't use anti seize on anything brake related. If the manufacturer didn't use it when assembled - I don't use it.
      Thanks for the input.

    U have good work but when u tap the brake it will still pull go forward like normal because its automatic so as soon as u tap the brake and take it off its got no lag between the gears so yes it will keep going as normal

    Hey there! New subscriber here! I recently purchased a 2016 Nissan Frontier sv crew cab with 46k miles. My break pedal is super soft (easy to press) and have to push down all the way almost or it seems like in order to have the truck completely. After your video I checked the reservoir and its full up to the cap. Is that the problem or could it be something else? Thanks!!

    hey I went to garage to fix my brake cause fluid was leaking in the rear left. Since then my brake is exactly the same of the vehicle in your video. I dont understand very well why it is not back to normal. The guy who worked on my car said something like I have to change drum in order for my brake to be same as before. It is dangerous, I can't believe he let me take the car out. He charge me 250$ and will charge me additional 200$ tomorrow. My neighbor is also a mechanic for a public service and told be there as to be air inside there. He also telling me to be careful of this garage. according to this video I should check the caliper.

    Quick question. If you were replacing and fixing all those things, the rotors pads caliper....why did you not fix the broken wheel stud also before putting on new rotors and pads?

    • @Donnythelatemodeltech

    I'm a noob at this but I know you NEVER pinch the brake line. Please if you're watching this don't ever clamp the brake line. You'll damage the line and possibly cause irreversible damage

    • @armoricain
      @armoricain 3 роки тому +1

      Yeah, I think you're right, I'd rather plug it up with a piece of shop towel or a rubber plug designed for that purpose.

    • @doom3380
      @doom3380 3 роки тому +2

      @@armoricain you'd wanna avoid damaging that line as much as you can. I'm in the process of replacing the front calipers because they're sticking. I wanted to change the brake hoses too just to be safe and turns out out the parts stores don't have the right size hoses that fight the bolt on the brake line. It's been a nightmare. And honestly you won't lose that much fluid if you take off the hose for a minute or two while you place the new caliper in. You'll still have fluid leaking regardless. Seems reckless and unnecessary to pinch it in my opinion
