My family has long planned to live abroad as expats. My youngest was born in 2011 and immediately upon knowing that our family was complete, we set about on an intentional plan to begin the process of becoming expats. While the process took us some time, we have been intentional expats now for a long time and I think that our story is a little big interesting. Now we live in Leon, #Nicaragua.

Interesting to hear a bit about your travel history. When you spoke about traveling in Europe with two young children, it reminded me of my families experience. My wife and I moved to Costa Rica in 1983 with four young children between the ages of four years and eight months. It was our first time ever living outside the country. Our friends and family thought we were crazy, and perhaps they were right. But ever since I was young I had a Wander lust.
I listen to your videos in double speed. You are already a fast talker, so at that speed sometimes the words can become a bit confusing. I had to laugh when you mentioned going to some “ must see” places in Europe. It sounded like you were going to some musty places. I guess this could happen while visiting some of the historical landmarks of Europe. It could also be the case while living in the tropics. Anyway, it gave me a chuckle.

Oh man, no, I don't. I only have a handful of photos from my short time there... and most of those were work ones. It was before I was filming our adventures. It's too bad, it was very cool there.
