One thing I didn't really expect was how good the mic is, assuming it was just an afterthought on Fiio's side, and fortunately proven wrong. And yes, for 45-50 USD, this set is a great value. A fun set of headphones, albeit a bit too dark for my taste.

hm phonix? neutral and fun, large soundstage red halo the opposite small, highend enough, soundstage, no fun as it is sound, but smooth and pleasing might sound harsh but true hard to imagine if you havent heard how highend sound, very advisable to have good dap and bring it to audio store, and try some lcds

Is it good enough to block out some external low noise such as normal tv volume, fan noise from the aircon, etc

sorry i dont have them to compare it to them. But from other few reviews i did see that these do quite well in its budget.
