I think Brighton has to take this as a reality check. As a fan base you have to demand more from the ownership. The whole scouting and development of the club is great but is that where the ambition caps at? De Zerbi thought so. As a fan base are you guys okay with just being a feeder club or does the fan base have higher ambitions? I’m genuinely interested to know. You can’t really fault players like KDH for holding the deal to wait for Chelsea or any other club.

It's more of a Maresca signing than anything else. The recruitment team looked at how much Maresca was able to get out of KDH and well he fit Into the way Maresca wants to play.
If we stop being emotional for a sec. KDH brings so much to the club. Balance to the midfield and we do not have a player like this in the team. Makes perfect sense.

Chelsea fans: It's not about if KDH is good for your team or not. It's about all the potential options that _could_ have been chosen, but instead they went in for a player we were publicly after. It's just funny that there doesn't seem to be a clear recruiting strategy at Chelsea.
