This is why I believe the Dune Desert is the perfect location to build a huge main base/factory complex. It’s huge, flat, and empty and is centrally located where all the resources you need for your starter base is within arm’s reach.
It also benefits form the close proximity of all basic resource types, except Uranium, but that's a good thing to keep far away. It has convenient access to the larges quantities of Sulfur, Quartz, and Caterium, as well as Nitrogen well in the mountains to the North West.
This base does an awesome job of realizing the premise of Satisfactory. It’s like you literally ripped one of the factories from the Factorio menu and could walk around in it. The clearly organized chaos with machines everywhere all on different levels looks incredible.
The overflow setting already includes materials that havent been selected otherwise, you technically dont need to have an extra "heavy modular frames" output
That's one hell of a place. I was wondering what you'd do for running out of space, and this is definitely the logical option - it's more sand, not rock, so as rural as the other places over there felt comparatively the sprawl _will_ continue as needed. It really does look insane from above now that everything's filling out.
It's probably too late for this now, but if you do another project like this in the future, you might consider making map markers around the perimeter of the area, labeled with letters in one direction, and numbers in the other, to create a sort of chess coordinate system, so you can add it in your notes. Like, "Concrete made in A7, C12, and F3"
With the alternate you are using, with some overclocking you can just set the manufacturers to 3/min and have nice even numbers almost everywhere. Try it.
I found a way to get rid of all the spaghetti conveyors. It also allows you to stop using the stackable conveyor stands. I put down 3 small concrete pillars, delete the bottom one. Stack up 5 conveyor splitters or mergers, and delete the bottom 3. Then I put down a small pillar support. I then grab a copy of the small pillar and add it to the bottom of the 2 remaining pillars. I then copy one of the spliters/mergers and put 2 more towards the bottom of the pillar. Works really well :)
Once all the component parts are ready from this desert, make a central ultra tall tower to deliver the parts to via drones, and build the ultimate sky tower with the space elevator on top of it to send it into the finale. :)
Ahh man, I was hoping you would have incorporated the crash pod into the factory. I think it would have been cool to have it in the middle of some manufacturers.
The alt recipe for HMFrames is divisible by thirds. I found this out by reducing the 2.813/min to 2.5/min. When you do that all of the inputs will end in .333 or .666. So. 1/3 and 2/3 ratios. The rest of the math ends up being really easy at that point and your manufacturers will use slightly less power.
These kind of shenanigans is why I wish there was stuff like the Item Teleporter mod in vanilla. An item/fluid Tesseract seems like it'd be right up Ficsit's alley. They've already got the designs for (essentially) portable Particle Accelerators.
I just do not understand how you stay mentally stable about all this heavy belting. Anyway I like the look of the factory when all is coming together. Great vid, keep it up.
the more i watch your vids the more im glad i play with the teleporter belts, make less lag and take up way less space, plus it keeps me from going insane with belt work and spaghetti, some might think its OP but you need to unlock i think it was T4 or T5 to get them and they are decently costly
I’m no city planner but this look awfully close to New York City planning. I recommend possibly making a few short towers of machines. Not huge ones but like 1-2 blocks wide of machines
Your builds are inspiring. I learn something new everytime I watch a video. Ive been playing the Satisfactory Plus mod. IDK if i could ever go back to regular.
@@collinkaufman2316 yea it would be, but I actually ment the space elevator parts that should be transported in a factory cart (the tiny cart thing, not the large truck or tractor)

Bro wtf is Kibitz actually building. My man's always needs a fuck ton of something, but what's the end goal here? All that aside I enjoy watching him do a lot of whatever it is he does 🙌🏾😂😂
He is using a mod for inventory space. When he started this play thru he said there was a few things he was doing for QOL, and unlimited power shards (that he stopped using here) and a 256 slot inventory are two important ones.
What about if the truck has modular frames left and it goes to pick up the heavy modular frames wouldn't that cause the next recipient of heavy modular frames het both kinds
My question is - where are you getting the number for building 100 modular frames per minute? Like Are you looking ahead to see how many you'll need for a future project or are you just throwing a number out there and saying "lets do 100 cuz why not". I'm having trouble finding out why we need to build 100 modular frames. why not 50? why not 250? Is it just a random number or is there a reason for 100 specifically?
It's almost never worth stockpiling anything that's not used for building materials. Maybe some edge cases, like your power network can't handle the smelting process at all times and you need to switch off smelting intermittently but still want full output from the miners, or the ingots from the smelters back up sometimes but you want burst output in excess of what the miner can produce. In the first case, though, it's easier to just build more power, and in the second case, unless your world is running out of free resources just build more miners and don't worry about. I can't think of any compelling reason to stockpile ore.
@@kalzekdor a simple yes or no would have sufficed. The question was on stockpiling not power. Anyways I logged on and the only stockpile i have is of iron ore due to the impure nodes. Kibz is just gifted like that xD
Thats the welcomed effect of not doing things in most effective way and using min maxing.
Id wear a Kibz shirt that said "Have a Fantastic rest of your day..." on the front, and "and Bye Bye" on the back.
For real that would be the best 😂
