a little late to this vid but i think a crazy example of this is iron man (the first one) that was filmed with an outline that was constantly changing, this was a bold move especially for all the effects and action… it ended up being a very successful movie

This really speaks to my style of creating. Great video! Thank you.

Thanks Andie! My vids about this kind of thing don't tend to get a lot of views but I find them fascinating.

This style definitely helps with spontaneity but as an actor you still need to know your story, character and their needs really well to pull it off - it's easier to connect with other actors with no script. On the flip side There's nothing worse than having a script that isn't written in a very natural way so spontaneity is harder. Mike Leigh films like this - secrets and lies is amazing

Great perspective Ru. I met Christopher Doyle once, I’m not surprised that Wan Kar Wai chooses to improvise. Christopher is one of the most free spirits you could possibly meet. Intense too! No constraining that man. I would say he’s a master cinematographer. Spectacularly beautiful images.

As long as it’s not a “found footage” type of movie I fully support this idea. I’m all for creativity with interesting concepts and acting but low balling a budget takes a toll for the audience & screen.

Let us know when the feature gets released. I know I'd love to see it, wherever it gets released

I have a lot of experience in distribution. Are you looking for an aggregator or distribution?

Distribution I think :) I've working on this film long enough I would like an expert to take it from here.

@@Crimsonengine Awesome. Just watch out for the bad distributors. You can find a list of them online. There are quite a few out there that will take your film no problem but you’ll never see a check. Similar to the one that has my film

There are tons of films shot without a script that are bona-fide masterpieces. This whole idea of "the script is the king" is a hollywood handicap.

No script no problem.... Unless you're the editor and you're screaming ....

      Yes so true

You're spot on. Terence Malik works with a team of editors and it often takes YEARS to complete the film. Nice paycheck if you can get it :)
