I bought a lithium battery and rode to Texas. Came home and let my bike sit for 3 weeks and it was beyond dead. I figured it was just a bad battery so I returned it and got a new one. Same exact thing happed, dead again after 3 weeks. Before you comment on this NOTHING was left on on my bike and my bike is in perfect working order. Went back to the old school stock battery and I've had NO issues. He is correct about how fast it cranks up (when it wasn't dead)
I’ve always got at least 6 years or more out of the stock HD battery or the Deka which is the same thing. I’m not sold on lithium batteries yet because of cost and too many catch fire from what I’ve seen so I’ll keep using what works for me.
I was at my local Harley dealer a couple of yrs ago when I 1st saw the lithium battery. I couldn't believe how light weight it was. And I couldn't believe the price. Jay seems like a down to earth kinda guy.
Okay love the channel, no one has talked about the Noco lithium battery and charger. I have installed on my 2013 SG. $199.00 has i think 4 yrs warranty, 700 cranking amps, battery charger charges both AGM and lithium battery. Weight less than 5lbs and work's great. Thoughts.
Tall, I must say that this was the perfect video. I was one of those who tried that new Harley Lithium battery and thought it was perfect, however realized that it doesn't have enough cranking amps when it sits without the charger hooked to it. So recently was looking for another replacement battery with a lot of amps and still lightweight. Perfect video. Thanks.
I’m with others who have commented. 1 year warranty is a joke. You can buy a traditional battery from batteries plus and get two years. Need to put at least 3 years on it
Great video Tall and thanks for the input Jay, you really know your stuff and I wish I lived down near your shop so I could have some work done by your team on me SG.
If that battery really lasts 20-25 years, then it would abviously be worth it. But with just a one year warranty!? I would never buy one. That is proof that they aren't really sure how long they will actually last
I purchased this Titan 8 battery from Volunteer Audio. After the first ride, it failed. Sure, they will replace the who wants to be stranded, pay for towing, pay for HD diagnosis, and repair. And of course, yes failed battery. Plus pay for shipping battery back. Not good business practices. I'll update the response after customer service and second battery attempt.
Had my bike shipped from Texas to Guam. Had it in Transport mode. When it finally arrived 3 months later, my battery is dead. Like zero output. Took it to the HD shop to diagnose it and the next day, they tell me it's completely done. New batteries here are over $300 for basic AGM battery. They're smoking crack. So I need something new. Thanks for the info here.
Im a car audio guy that uses lithium batts. The 1st thing i did when i bought my 1st bike a month ago was buy a lithium battery lol of course for all the audio and lights im adding to the bike lol
First part of video mentioned “Transport Mode” on bike! What is that & after a 2500 mile move Ca- KY. Does it result in erratic idle & dying after trip? Never missed a tick b4 trip!! ⁉️
Hey, what’s wrong with Michigan? Yeah it’s cold up here but it’s beautiful. Come on up in the summer come across the mighty Mac to the upper peninsula. You’ll love it if you don’t like the weather just wait five minutes it’ll change.😅🤪😂😂😂😂😎🙏
Loved the video, very informative. I do have a question though for the guys at Volunteer Audio. I live in central NC and ride year round on a 2019 Road Glide that has a 117 stage S.E. 4 kit that does have 11:1 compression. I even ride when the temps are below 32 degrees and bike does sit outside overnight at work where temps can get down into 20s. Will the lithium battery be okay in those temps?
I was afraid of the same thing, that lithium catching fire and the maintenance issues, please send me that information so I can purchase my new upgrade for my 2019 Street Glide.
My hd sets out at night at work and typically ride until below 25 degrees, last few years I had a hard time because it's only 7 mile and not enough to keep the charge up!! Thx
I got 09 sportster 1200c I'm having a horrible time with batterys couldn't get a HD agm from Harley from 2020 thru 2022 so I looked every were only place had one was battery pluss bulbs a Duracell first one last 1 month second one 3 months it had warranty still but there junk so 2022 I got a everstart it lasted season and a half all the battery's from orillys advance and auto zone are to tall this season Harley davidson dealer has the battery finely
That should have a 36 month warranty and non pro rated. I find it difficult to pay $200 for a motorcycle battery. I’ve not see any vid on you tube battery catching fire. If you connect wrong connection or setting could burn a battery. I have heard garages catching fire due to improper charging and or un attende battery while charging. You can’t lose touch of viewers. God bless! 👍🏻
From a retired firefighter, I have been on several lithium battery fires that were spontaneous while driving. We emptied out a water tender one one, and it just kept burning. Once they start, we're basically letting it burn and protecting what's around it.
I have a lithium battery that goes into a sleep mode if not used used for a couple of days and is hard to start. Do these batteries do the same thing, go into a sleep mode?

Should last 20-25 years, but for around $700 dollars you only get a year warranty. 😮😮😮😮
Go to Batteries plus
Lol😂
For 700.00 it should have at least a 5 year warranty. Thanks but no thanks.
That’s what I said too.
For $700, I can buy 3 AGMs

Jay has so many videos on how to wire the bike. I watch them just because it helps me be more comfortable with my own bike.

have the same one, bike starts don't even hear it turn over!
and that's with a 200hp Pro Charged engine.
For 700.00 it should have at least a 5 year warranty. Thanks but no thanks.
Everyone needs a friend like Jay
No kidding
If its gonna last 20-25 years makes u wonder why they don't give a longer warranty

Eight hundreds for a battery 😮 you done lost your mind

Thank you Tall. This was a very informative video. I’m getting the titan and I appreciate you.
Many other lithium batteries, in the RV world, have a 10 year warranty. With them being prorated after 5 years at roughly the same price.

Just get a YUASA battery! 👌

I'm very intrigued about this battery...that one year warranty is worrisome but it's new so I guess it's what's next...700 dollars ooh that hurts

I keep hearing that Lithium batteries are not good to have in colder climates. Any truth to that?
Yes. It's mostly for EV range they discharge very fast
Nice video keep up the good work traveling tall
Hey Tall, cause of you I'm probably gonna get Titan8..
When I'm not riding, my battery is always on a tender. Is this necessary with your lithium battery?
Odyssey batteries are the best I have found.Riding for 25 years.
Very informative. Learned some stuff I didn’t know.
This was a very informative video. Thanks.
Battery tender makes a charger that can charge regular or Lithium...
One year warranty, $700. Is the shipping free? Just asking,
Will lithium batteries work with a stock EVO charging system (94 FXR Super Glide)? Thank you

What about in hot weather? I live in Florida.. I replace may battery every 2 yrs.
I was afraid of the same thing, that lithium catching fire and the maintenance issues, please send me that information so I can purchase my new upgrade for my 2019 Street Glide.
Tall, you wouldnt happen to know when jay put the hertz 4.900 in your glide did they use 4ga or 8ga powerwire? Thanks
Very informative. Thank you very much.
I have a kinda silly question I’ve been watching your channel for a while what is the song on start of your videos
I didn’t see those models on the website
Great video. Are the stock Harley batteries jump start safe?
Tall where can those batteries be purchased at, if you live out of state.✌🏾
How about cold weather starts
My hd sets out at night at work and typically ride until below 25 degrees, last few years I had a hard time because it's only 7 mile and not enough to keep the charge up!! Thx
Harley lithium battery #2 has a 5 year warranty and runs around 14 volts.

I had a lithium battery. When it went to sleep, my audio system lost all its settings.
First!
And I hit that Like Button!
What's wrong with the stock
Anyone ever run these batteries in a Pan America? Those come with stock batteries that are woefully underpowered for that bike.
What is the CCA on the battery that Jay installed?
are they an easy fit for Indian motorcycles as well??
I have a lithium battery that goes into a sleep mode if not used used for a couple of days and is hard to start. Do these batteries do the same thing, go into a sleep mode?
When is thst battery going on the Street Glide
Can it be more over priced?
Do we need to change the alternator for battery longevity?
Does anyone know what kind of seat that is?
Just a commercial!
Have Coupon code?
What is the name of this shop? And where is it located?
I could be wrong but it's Volunteer audio and it might be in Tennessee.
Volunteer audio
way overpriced
