CCRP is not meant to be used to deliver bombs in level. While possible the shalow angle of the radar beam to the ground is going to generate a massive triangulation error. The bombs will fall either quite short or long. The correct way to use the CCRP radar designation is to use a dive toss profile Use a 30° dive to designate the target with the diamond then push the trigger and pull a constant 5G untill the bombs go Rule of the thumb to compute the correct distance to initiate your dive is 3 x height above target / 10000 : for instance 3Nm for a 10kft dZ I hope this was useful
+Kalahari54 YesI will do that. However, currently this doesn't work because as of now you can't just hold the trigger and wait for the CCRP system to drop the bomb.
Thank you! I am actually waiting for the next M-2000C update to recorde some more tutorials, as a lot of stuff has changed since the Mirage has been released. Especially considering the Radar and Navigation Systems.
Anglo Spanish Racing Yes, as soon as an update is available the Auto Updater will inform you and giving the option to install the update. Usually they are bundled with DCS Core updates.
Sorry ... what do I activate sighting Orange ( or. ikon green -+-) Cross / laser for ground attack. Holding down the shutter button to joystick (shoot gun button), as well as the Su-25/27 ?? Very thanks. My english is minimal. THX. Super video, CCIP super video thx.
Yeah. The new fire/explosion, smoke and cloud effects definatelly are something to look forward to. As a compromise I have been using a smoke mod, that gives destroyed vehicles better smoke effects (bigger plume, longer duration, fading towards the end). However, I think that stopped working some time ago, unfortunatly.
I can't get lock on in the tutorial. When I press BG1 I get S and P light coming on on the button. I do everything the tutorial says but can't get lock on. What am I missing?
+Daniel Solbrekke Thanks for the feedback! Well, I hope they fix that soon enough. The only target I could relayably hit was something as big as the runway, where overshoting was not to much of a problem.
Yes, you can have a laser (for example an A-10 or a JTAC) lase a target for you. Then you can drop laser guided bombs onto the target. Coordinate input should be possible at one point as well. Don't think that is implemented as of now though.
The little bits that you have explained helped me out in the last missing switch or understanding it. Thanks

+Daou Thanks for your detailed explenation! Very useful indeed!
+Daou If you have time, could you pls make a video illustrating this :)

Fantastic tutorials John, please make some more....

Mirage is the first 3rd party DCS module I have purchased - does it update automatically when DCS World updates ?

Thanks !
I think TAS is the only option for CCRP, I managed to hit a tanker with four MK-82s, but I needed to mark position a bit before tanker.

how do I set the bomb crosshair..?
you are a life saver by the way. This information was great. Thanks.
I'm looking forward to the new explosion effects. Hopefully the fire etc will hang around a bit longer...

m2000 ccrp. what's is the button to set on joy or keyboard to lock the target? I understood perfectly the procedure but I can't fix a lock on target?
Not defined - you need to go to key bindings config, select HOTAS category and then find "Magic slave/AG designate" - and assign a key or joy button.

Yeah, they go waaaaaay to far away for me too. First I thought I did something wrong, but it doesn't seem to be the case.

Fall a bit long? I'm still getting that.
Is it possible to input data (ie coordinates) or to have some laser designate a target for you?

Kannst mir mal bitte ein screen von deinen Video Settings schicken? :D danke
Isnt RP external fuel tanks?
+kakka kikkare Correct!
IT doesnt make sense to me that the high drag bombs are CCIP while the low drag are CCRP
+Misha Lagovsky Yeah, that is a bit weird...
xxJohnxx Oh well. Great video as usual I hope they update this bird soon!
+Misha Lagovsky it's because CCRP lets you toss bomb (which only makes sense with low-drag bombs)
Yeah that makes sense.
"rp" isn't the canon it's the external tank ;)
Thanks man!
+TomTheTruckdriver You are welcome!
