I really believe the secret to cracking more long standing speed records like this could depend on how physically small, light weight, sleek, and slippery a vehicle is, whether it be a 2-wheeled or 4-wheeled vehicle. At really high speeds the atmosphere may as well be water, because it resists the forward motion of a faster moving object more and more as it's speed increases. A very impressive video. Thanks. :)
Sort of agree but they are already at the extreme as far as weight and aerodynamics as limited by the size of the rider the real challenge is to get more power
I remember reading about the Kreidler bike and record when it happened. 12 speed derailleur bicycle power train, engine packed in ice for each run. Now to see film clips of it run 60 yrs later is a wonderful treat. Thanks for this video and hi to all 2stroke stuffers out there..
I like his vision and dedication, but he seems drowned in his own fairytale. He keep us waiting too long, and time is running out faster than his engine.
@@superkas As professional head porter I always wonder why he chases the 100 percent bore size wide exhaust port which causes a load of problems whereas my experience is that ( in a lot of other occasions ) a bit of a compromise , solves a bunch of problems with only couple of percent less flow . Same with his piston design ...good idea but it seizes bc of several reasons . Rings , cilinder bore coating wear or flaking , etc etc...... Then I think use a stock piston first. Use a proven coating and start moderate and see what a specific change does and do it step by step untill problems occur.... Or if it works with a stock piston switch to own design and see if performance gains are achieved . And if tech problems occur , minor or large , analyse and try to solve and test again.

What circulate in the internet like concept and blueprints are non proven yet. We live in the era of Flexible Glass, so, when people's self proclaimed as the maker of the best A, the the biggest B, there's always a backlash. I remember one of the "2 Stroke Prophet" to me, Jan Thiel said, if it's not about ultra nationalistic mentality and mutual jealousy, Japan should start using Nikasil plating for cylinder coating rather than sleeves. As we know at the time, German invented it and superior than sleeves. And maybe that's the best plating technology for an engine, at least for now, both feasibility and scalability.
yeah true, he develope that 2 stroke 50 cc with supercharge on it an the last time That I saw his video, he manage to get 23 HP, but on stable enough, wish he can stabalize it and get 30 HP from that little CC engine :3
@Steven Harkreader For the records, blowers don´t count as extra displacement. Kreidlers 1965 record featured a blower. For the SCTA records, there are distinguished classes for gasoline powered, other fuel powered, with and without blowers.
