Various clips and closeups with two cameras covering a high reach demolition excavator working away on the top floors of a 12-story high-rise building. 25 minutes of clips, with one camera doing closeups and the other doing longer shots. At normal speed, with the original audio, but of course while watching you are free to substitute your own personal favorite demolition-accompaniment music! From the week of April 14, 2014 (Demolition week 23, set 7). #demolition #excavator #highreachexcavator #longreachexcavator #sanfrancisco #excavatorcloseup
I could be wrong but that looks like a camera mounted underneath the boom arm, water jets near the cutter Cannot imagine the operator discomfort without that. Slow going, but then its all about being safe and aware at all times
I understand that it's very dificult to operate a crane at ten flat building high, but clue: if you cut a pilar at the bottom and at the coronation, this is done. Only rest the rebar which will fall instantly joined with the rest of the structure. Don't mess with he concrete of this pilar at that high, cut the beam and the work is done. Far easier to do this on the ground after.
I'm wondering why with all that broken concrete piled up, why they didn't spread it out & give the operator a road to work off of. that's what we used to do... Cool video though.
I think environmental and safety concerns influence which demo method to use...not to mention structural factors. It takes a different method to safely demo a silo located among several close barns, sheds, etc. that it does in open farmland. Dust can also be a factor when deciding between, say, either a crane with shears, or an implosion.
It just stands to reason for my way of thinking, to cut the support posts and pull them off of the floor collapsing the floors from the top down. Much easier to break up the large pieces down on the ground and safer too!

surely the shear operator is a trainee...first day on the job...indecisive...back & forth etc.
That attachment on the end of that boom (looks about 35mt) would be like having a bowling ball on the end of a chop stick. Harder than it looks
You crush one end of what ever your removing & break the other end and get something done . watching you guys is makeing me tired
Look how much hazardous dust comes out with just a few pieces of debris falling down,
Regular operator will be late so boss told him do the best you can and don't kill anybody until he gets here!!!
Operator should be a politician, He's useless.
yea got board shitless with in 2m kid have that down in 30m
I love their pet dinosaur

Che serve pulire il piano se poi deve crollare tutto? Bisogna pulire solo per raggiungere i portanti.
Drop Ball is Waay quicker and annihilates Concrete
heureusement , y'a une tête pivotante il peut jouer avec avant de trouver la bonne position
Fachkräftemangel so weit man schaut.
The operator just can't see what he's doing. They need to work on putting cameras at the top of these rigs. What a waste of time and equipment.
Cioè,a ha mai usato la macchina? 😂
Water keeps dust down. I think it's badass, let me drive
That's the only cool thing about the whole video is the mounting of the water sprayers on the machine's arm- good idea!

For what he gets Money? No Damage for an Hour maschinework? 🤔🤔🤔
Crane and ball is much better way to demolish buildings. Makes better footage too!
Lack of good crane operators, state laws & client safety concerns has changed that type of demolition dramatically over the past 15-20 years.
19:01 to 20:01 what a waste of time .stoping fing around and tear it down WTF ?
This guy has to be paid by the hour . Not the job . 🤔🤔🤔🤔
Who in the hell taught this monron to operate this equipment?
When the reach is that high, it is much harder to control the movements.
schlechte Arbeit das geht besser
Clearly an amateur at work here....I could of had the top 3 floors remove by the end of this video.....
This really shouldn't be featured on your channel. It's uninteresting and frustrating. I've had more fun watching paint dry.
Painful to watch this intern goofin around....
The operator is no good
Sigst scho das a ami is, er kons ned wirklich!
Operators are fucking about too much
Wot wid the water
It keeps down the dust.
