Didn't he preform Journey songs for his Anthrax audition? (Cos he wasn't aware of what style they played). What a set o pipes! Still my favourite Anthrax front man.
One of the few singers with a voice who can pull this off. Joey has such a great talent (the best in Thrash metal, I might add). Would love to see him again with Anthrax.
if a guy can sing with pipes like those and move about like that at the same time while looking at 60 years old, i'd say he's quite the singer as well as the performer
Ladies & gentleman,,,,Mr Joey belladona,,,,the man still got It,,,performance this song show how amazing voice he got It,,,,Steve Perry must be proud of him🎼👍👌😎
He was always such a talented vocalist, could even make himself sound like Ronney James Dio in singing heaven and hell or Neon knights. Bless this soul 🔥🤘
Hey mom, remember when I bought Oidivnikufesin in 89 and you said "who's this crazy guy yelling his lungs out ??! There's no melody in there, that's not even music !" Well... how about this ?
@@jms980 To be honest, I don't know the song _that_ much. Although I'm familiar with Separate Ways and I like Journey, Anthrax brought me here. If you have any suggestion of a video where the singer does not 'butcher' the song as you put it, I'd be curious to see that. Of course, it has to be non-pro shot, with the audio not mastered like the present one. The best I've found is a 1994 rendition with Steve Perry aged 45, singing half a step below the original version. On this video here, Belladonna is sixty years old and sings at the original pitch. I think you are kind of hard on him.
Journey is a tough act to be a singer in. They tend to use up good singers on a regular basis. Endless touring takes its toll. Look at Pineda. He’s showing signs of vocal damage, and he’s way too young for that. Imagine trying to sing like 25-year old Steve Perry on a two year tour, 3 hours every night.... i think it’s wrong, as a singer....
This is horrible. Joey can sing, but he's not as talented as he thinks he is and this song is completely out of his range. He butchers it and the keyboards sound so ridiculous.
No I wanna hear Steve Perry sing Caught in a Mosh
Now that would be something 😎
I wouldn't be surprised if he did a great job at it! :)
Best comment today. 🤘
God damnit Joey is such a good singer definitely best thrash singer
Awesome pipes. Love that he's back in Anthrax!!
Ladies and Gentlemen, Simon Cowell on Keyboards.
Thanks, It's comforting to know I'm not the only one
Damn beat me to it 🤣
Joey's voice is exceptional. The best singer in the thrash metal world and nails it with the best AOR song ever made!
He's the only one of the "big 4" who can realy sing...
Great voice but he doesn't sound as good singing Anthrax tunes...🤔
Mustaine is the only one brah...
Very true!
He’s the best thrash vocalist ever
@@nikkithrash9163 Belladonna is the Ronnie Dio of Thrash

Yes you are correct….
He also covered it live with Steel Panther: ua-cam.com/video/sZD7pw6t_uA/v-deo.html
That is part of what makes anthrax so great! A real freaking singer! Ive been a fan since 1986-87 area.
I really enjoyed this Joey.

Just saw Anthrax a couple weeks ago. Always a blast!
Happy Birthday Joey Belladona ! 13.10.2021 ( Jouney , Anthrax )
Joey's the man. Love ya man!!🤘🤘

I reckon getting kicked out for 13 years has had an amber effect on his voice.
@@notsure1135 Not taking drugs or smokling probably helped a little
@@jasonmullinder yeah, smokling fucks everything…
In his days before Anthrax, he was in a cover band from my home town, and well known for his superb Steve Perry covers.
Bible Black ?
So extremely talented ❤

Seriously, Joey is barely managing here
Joey is a huge fan of classic hard bands
Voice of an Angel!! A thrash angel😆😆
Great! 🤟🤟🤟
Anthrax's gotta play this with heavy drums n' loud fast n' thrashing!
Thanks for sharing, this is great!

lol he is still alive ffs!
Don't stop, th- rashing !
The grainy video actually makes him look like the real singer lol
Belladonna kicks ass.
That's the song that got him in anthrax!!! I'd love to hear it in anthrax style!!!
@Bunni May Nice video. Joey is truly one of the great metal vocalists of all time!
Fuckin love Joey Belladonna☠️☠️☠️☠️🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘(N.F.L.)

This sucks. He butchers this song, he's struggling pretty bad

YOU PICK THE WRONG BAND,JOEY.
He could pull a Paul Stanley and do a soul station kinda thing.

:) Regnisnikufesin !!
I don't know why but I'm hearing drum playing.. :D
I wish Journey would hire Joey

That would be a horrible idea
feat Robin Thicke on the keys
Robin Thicc
Steve Perry with curly hair
Sounds like grandma singing
Tyson leslie!
He never had the makings of a varsity athlete.
Revocnikufesin
He could've easily replaced Steve Perry in Journey
Not a chance. He can't even stay in pitch on this, imagine how bad his voice would become singing a full set of Journey songs a few nights a week?
Who the hell are those dweebs he's playing with? LOL This is like a live action South Park parody.
Little fast but not bad at all
He sounds just like a random UA-camr covering this song
palahubog
Ummmmm……Are the remaining members of Journey aware of Joey?!?!!?!?!!!🤘🔥🔥🔥✌️😎
Dear god...no. im not going to listen
