Von was the one that said he’s getting better each week, and wanted to start week 1 , he will reach maybe 4 sacks this season and next season he’s off the books thank god. Put him in on passing downs and also if he is no better than last season early on he needs to sit! Ej epenesq deserves a bigger workload and he is the future for the next 2 yrs
I think he will have a better year going to surprise some people and if Milano and epanesa Oliver Greg defense should be fine be great if rasuol and Rapp maybe claim sorry can't spell but defense should be fine
I really don’t understand the outrage. He didn’t blame the bills at all. If anything, he sounds more disappointed in himself for not playing up to par. He’s saying “I shouldn’t have been playing” as a way to minimize how bad he looked. It’s a rationalization to himself and the fans.
@@Schedule1ne315 the outrage is last yr he said he want to start game one , obviously he was no where ready to play anything last yr now he says he shouldn’t have played at all last yr? With his salary he was expected to atleast try which he did and failed miserably!
Von Miller put the pressure on himself in the 2023 season by saying he be on the field week 1. If you noticed he hasn't spoken up about free agents or potential trade rumors this offseason like he did seasons prior. I love Von and his positive outlook on certain things but so far since he's been here it's backfired on him. I do think we will see a better Von Miller in 2024 now that he's had time to properly recover....Go Bills!!!
To be fair him saying he was ready to go last year and him now saying he shouldnt have been out there arent mutually exclusive takes. Hindsight is 20/20. I fully assume he and the team thought he was ready to go out and contribute. Things changed when he couldn't produce. I don't think it's fair to assume he revising history and saying he knew he wasn't up to snuff or couldn't get there with playing time.

Host dude apparently has no concept of humility, and the power it holds. Von is telling us he felt the pressure then, and he feels the pressure now. He’s battling, and will continue to battle. I appreciate him stating his feelings about last year, and I think it’s relatable and genuine. The mindset of competitors is a nuanced thing. I’m excited to see if he can reclaim who he was.
Do you think they would cut Von if he shows nothing in training camp and pre-season (if he plays)?
I think Von will be a pass rush specialist. Still a lot of money to pay someone to play on 3rd downs.

I think it was more revisionist in the moment for von to be saying he felt great last year. I think now he's finally being honest and saying yeah I rushed it I wasn't ready.
I think we all forget how injured the front line was let, alone the rrst of defense, watching his teammates playing hurt, he was a captain and convinced himself and his coaches and himself that he could play, I expect a banner year from Von, 18 months is the normal recovery from the injury, my expectations are that he will cash in on every incentive in his reworked contract
Von will have a full training camp this season. Let's see how he does

I suspect the idea was that there's very few ways to get game ready without playing games. So to that end, I think the hope was that if they bring Von to get some snaps under his belt, he'll start taking off by the time the playoffs came around. I think that was the gamble.
It may have been a comment he made in retrospect, realizing that he attempted to come back too early. He wanted to be back, but the knee wasn't ready. He showed in the last couple of games that his speed and movements looked like the old (in the past) Von. I had two ACL reconstructions and a knee replacement all on one knee - a year is what is needed after the ACL repairs, and that is only true if you work hard at rehab (I did).

I love Von.. he's a future Hall of Famer. I was disappointed in his play, sure.. but I was more bothered that he took downs away from the other guys. I hope he comes back to the level of his first year in Buffalo but we all know he's far past his prime, yet he's still a dangerous player for opposing offenses.

Von needs to play up to the level he says he is at. Needed to last year, but didn't and kept other younger players off the field limiting their progress.
I remember years ago... Derrick Rose tore his acl.... Was medically cleared and choose not to play because he didn't think he could perform at the level he used to and people ripped him. Now you have Von, who worked his ass off to get back on the field and contribute and people rip him. People like to give football player shit for getting paid and phoning it in... This is the exact opposite... Dude was giving 100% effort to become productive and better. It's fucked up to talk shit about Von. I don't care what he said to the media.. Fact is, dude suited up and was out there.
A major mistake here by the Buffalo Plus team... Do NOT read into a "transcript" the meaning / direction of the comments you are reading. You cannot hear a tone-of-voice, or see facial features and hand gestures. You could just as easily have read into the comments that Von was mad at himself for pushing himself to be on the field too soon. But all the feedback I'm listening to is jumping to an "angry Von" firing at the team management for putting him in the games. I trust Von to make a "higher" choice than to fire on his team. He seems more professional, more mature, and less self-centered than the "children" of the game that don't hesitate to put blame on the shoulders of others. Love you guys, just the same, but I do hope that you think deeper in the future, and don't jump to the "Dark Side" so quickly. (Then again... I could be totally wrong.) Warmest regards, ~BF
Doesn't seem like there's a story here with von. He wanted to play. He wanted to be young and jump back in. He's realized that was a mistake. And "angry" is what you want in a player like him.

I'd like to know what was the worst experience you've had at an away game. Relax Dan, von didn’t say the bills forced him to play. He’s simply justifying his poor play by saying “I shouldn’t have been playing”. He sounds more like someone making an excuse like “ya I played poorly but I shouldn’t have been playing to begin with so give me some credit”. Von isn’t used to people doubting him
Von is trying to hold onto what he had… Anyone who has been an athlete gets to a point when you realize the body just isn’t going to produce, you just can’t accept it as your reality and your ego won’t let you quit. The great ones know when it is time to walk away…

I think Von has just been through alot the past couple years. From the injury to the off field things that happen. So I think he is a little frustrated of it on top of his age now I dont think he was ready to accept his decline due to said age. So I can see why he is lashing out just a bit. This is the year that decides what side of the fence I truly jump on with Von. I do have hope this year though
Tough to say "things that happen" He put himself and the team in a very bad spot (let alone his family). regardless of legal outcome the Bills were not happy to be dealing with it at the bye last year and beyond
