Just used this guide and it carried me all the way. To those using this guide after the DLC: The bright ring was replaced with the dull ring (lowers weight class by 1) but heavy roll is still good enough for me. Also the dull ring wasn't available right away and I found I had to get through parts of the second world in order to have it available. I found that you could upgrade your weapons beyond +2 on just the enigma without raising the world level, as long as you stay below the minimum world level. By the end my character was level 9 and Annihilation was still level 14 (the minimum). I'm sure I could have gotten my weapons to a higher level but I didn't want to do any excess grinding. My character archetypes were level 7 and 3. My typewriter was level 7 and my enigma level 5. I think I would stay at least 3 levels below the world level as not to risk raising it. Expect to die a lot, I had dozens of attempts before I finally had one that clicked. I would recommend in order to save more time in the long run, to practice bosses (mainly the ones in root world) with a similar campaign that isn't hardcore. This way you can practice the moves and do just as much damage without the risk of failure. Once you're confident you can beat it, switch to the hardcore world and do it. To Chaos Gaming, Thank you for making this guide, I found it incredibly helpful to know exactly what to do and where to go. Taking as much pressure of me to figure out what I am going to do so I can focus on staying alive was exactly what I needed. I really appreciate it.
it took me like 12 restarts but I followed your guide and I just beat hardcore!!! I edited it slightly and kept on a black cat band though for safety. thank you!!! :')
You are the true hero of Remnant ❤... Best walktrough I could find. Without your video I would have given up trying. Thanks for the victory in Hardcore mode. 🎉
Great video, I used this video to start hardcore veteran, I went a different way with rings and amulets but the archon/summoner goes great together, the passive healing is so helpful. I also went with yaesha, nerud, then losomn. I did roll adventure mode losomn for a few of the rings you used for the first half of the playthrough. But I was OP by the last world and just cut through it like butter. Thanks for the help.
Chaos Gaming, what really surprised me was the power level you were fighting Tal Ratha without damage issues at power level 4 vs level 9, actually nice 👍🏻
Thanks, dude! Took a break from Remnant when BG3 came out but came back when the DLC dropped. Even though there have been some patches and changes to rings, etc since this walkthru came out… this strat still got me smoothly through Hardcore Veteran circa Nov ‘23. For anyone interested in those rewards: Go for it! 🎉
I just platinumed the game today and I’m a compulsive collector of items/gear and weapons in games I love but this level of “difficulty” risk vs reward does not seem worth it to me and is insane to watch someone play through let alone even thinking about beginning my own hardcore run. This game destroyed me at times on survivor mode until I got everything online for my invoker ritualistic build. This is an incredible video though and I completely respect the time and detail you put into a guide like this.
absolutly awsome build, always got the feeling that the enigma is way to OP xD. Done Hardcore: Veteran with this build in the firtst try unter 6h, ty for sharing!
I heard from one of the devs we are using Enigma wrong, we are supposed to link a node to the enemy and the second one to something else to max out the damage
Yes just read the mod description when u test it. When linked nodes between an enemy and a surface node gain a 1.5x dot increase and each subsequent node increases the damage by 1.25x. In short shoot 1 node by their feet and launch six into the body, Then compare it to 7 in the body, the former ends up dealing more damage.
cool video. what do you start with if you dont have the archon class unlocked, however? I cant be bothered with that ridiculous process to unlock said archetype
Great video! I thoroughly enjoyed it. I did notice though in most of your boss fights early on you didn't use jesters bell even after equipping fire storm. I'm assuming you forgot but in case you didn't let me know if I'm missing something.
Thank you brother ❤much appreciated! Yes, so on the bosses that I can't use firestorm I go for the shock device because mainly our damage is coming from the enigma and if you don't have shock device The Bell is totally fine and maybe better, it's the same damage the only difference is the boost to overload damage. On the Mothermind I didn't use it, you are totally correct for pointing this out, I forgot to swap to it. Thank you for the observation!
You need to make sure you put at least one of enigmas mod charges on the floor, not the enemy. The way the mod works you're our bringing your dps down a noticeable amount if you put all of them on the enemy.
A really great video! the fact that you let us see your run with this build is very remarkable! But as things are for now with buffs and mostly NERFS that were done not long ago (bright steel ring that become "dull" and so now to have the fastest roll we need to have the ring and at max 49.9% of weight), do you think would be better changing something from your final build?
I'm playing level 19 and still using the weapons I got at the beginning. I haven't seen any other weapons on my trip through this beyond impossible game.
Amazing Work. I wouldnt have the skill and more important the patience to go through this though I think. Biggest question. Is the reward worth the effort? The devs tend to have a bad balance here. Some weapons require weird grinding and when you finally have them, you use them once. On the other hand great stuff just spawns as random world drop. Dont like this. Nevertheless your guides are outstanding! Thx for your work!
Something you didnt mention is that not only the weapons rise world difficulty also the archetype levels too, anyhow u had a retty lucky run with easy items ...
Almost to the end and want to clarify something. You only upgraded your enigma to level 2 the whole time right? You did not show weapons stats at the end to confirm the full build. Side question as well. So say I get to the final boss at 14 and before engaging the fight just go grind and level up things to as high as I want. Will the final boss level alter from there or will it stay at 14 even if I surpassed that power level myself?
lvl 2 Enigma was until the end yea. I have heard that at the end boss you can fully upgrade and the boss will stay low lvl. Not sure though, but this is what i heard.
@@ChaosGaming1111 thank you so much for the guide and the answer. We got there thanks to your guide. And I didn't explicitly see the level when I faced the last boss but I don't think it changed at all. I upgraded my primary weapon as much as I could and Enigma second. Power level was 10 in total and the boss was relatively easy. So I do believe the level stays where you lock it in to.
I am not sure tbh. You can try it if you like when you start. Test it first. Die at the first world and use the backup to see if that's gonna fix it. I didn't had to do it so i don't have an opinion for it.

With the new DLC do you think its better to start with Ritualist? You get sparkfire and can get free ring from the preacher in Forlorn Coast.
Ritualist is very powerful. it's all about what you prefer on that one.
If you end up fighting the miniboss in kaldea's rest can't burn em so it makes it pretty rough
