The Pitt River Bridge: A Showcase of Cable-Stayed Efficiency and Aesthetic Appeal

Experience the sights and sounds under the Pitt River Bridge, a cable-stayed bridge in British Columbia, Canada, that connects Port Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows. Part of Highway 7, it carries Lougheed Highway across the river. The current bridge, which opened on October 4, 2009, features a 380-meter (1,247 feet) cable-stay structure, 126 meters (413 feet) of multi-span approaches, a 50-meter (164 feet) interchange structure, and approximately 2 kilometers (1.24 miles) of grade construction.
