Love love love this! Terrified the whole time that you were going to paint over that yellow in the sky. I was yelling at you not to. Could you hear me here in Nova Scotia?
As you only use 1 or 2 brushes, aren’t you spending a lot of time washing them to keep your colors clean? Also, how do you keep your palette from getting overloaded with color mixes? Do you scrape it down frequently? (I’m assuming it’s a glass palette) I love learning from you and wish you did something in person! (I live in the Pacifica /Moss Beach area so your paintings resonate with me!)
Love seeing your work. I’m trying to pick up my photography and give myself some projects to hopefully spark my creativity to life. I tried to capture some light trails of traffic at a cross walk that goes over the street. It was fun but felt slightly dangerous as I traveled alone at night. But the heat of the day is rather too much and the light can often be too bright. I hope to capture a bucks skull with a beautiful rack of eight points. Yet I’m not entirely sure if a need to place it on a fence post. Or just the driveway with some bright and vibrant green moss colors. The bucks skull is dirty and a lovely off white with great detail. I just need a good background for it. Any suggestions? I’m thinking about taking it with me to the cross walk and using it there. You definitely wouldn’t think of bucks skull within the city yet mixing could possibly give the photograph a life unto its own. Love the painting again if I happened to have forgotten to mention. Happy 4th of July.
Very handsome painting. Nice color harmonies from your limited palette. It’s lucky that you are in an area where you can see trees against an ocean backdrop. That doesn’t happen on every beach, lol!
Good one Michael . How about doing a self portrait or portrait painting ala prima ? I’ve been trying to unsuccessfully paint portraits and finding out how difficult they can be to paint .
The circumference of boughs, as the limbs rise, their silhouettes, attach shadows seemingly, yet beautifully, to the sea and one touches the sky. Really nice .

Ok so that explains the voice I was hearing. Thank you! 😂
I have never heard of Moss Beach but that painting portrays that part of the place very well 🔝
You inspire and then I try and abject failure. Sigh. Nonetheless, your amazing touch brings me back. Thank you!
I love the way you painted those trees. Makes me want to sit under them and watch the waves. Just beautiful.
Thanks Maggie!
I love all the colour in the shadows , which you never seen a photo, thank you so much for this great video and finished painting

Lovely! What is the easel you use?
Thanks! takeiteasel.com
I love this painting ! Great one.
Lovely! One of my favorite subjects for you to do.
Nice one! Love the composition. Does filming interfere with your painting? You know, break the flow?
Thanks! Filming and narrating is definitely challenging
Happy 4th of July! 💙❤ Have a good night 😊
Love this one! ❤
Dramatic and atmosphric
Nice painting.
Nicely composed Mike, haven't seen you do a still life in some time now?😅
Thanks! I doubt I'll be doing any still lifes in the near future. I'm primarily a plein air painter.
@@chamberlainpaintings I really do like this composition and the color theory is spot on.
Beautiful. Another winner, and I love that sky.
Thanks Maura!
Good morning Michael 🙂
