I also own exactly the same tent in Flecktarn, also proof all my tents with Fabsil prior to use as this doubles the Hydrostatic Head but my only criticism of it is a build up of condensation if in an area with poor wind/ventilation. Regarding space - it's very generous internally, plus the awning for wet boots prior to the opening means it's a favourite for me. Regards and thanks for the update 👍
Hello mi friend, interesting stove. As far tent, it's as sandy says. It's great camouflage but poor in wet weather. Just be careful mate. Good camp mate.
Love your vids!…I had one for several years and loved it! My only beef with it was I couldn’t sit up in the doorway to brew up. It never leaked on me either!Dave 🇬🇧
Considering its size , and the cooking theory , I wonder if a small Samovar might be just as good , if not better ? I am also a Flecktarn fan , and also have one of those very tents . Its several years old now , with no issues , other than it can get a tad bit stuffy in it , if the air is still . Thank you
1:21 i prefer the rain.. 1, less people about, 2, asmr type rain drops on tent fx when sleeping lol... 3, its so much nicer getting into a tent when its raining over getting into a tent during a heatwave... i pick out the rainy days myself tbh
Hello Andy, I iam literally in the process of a overnighter for a homemade flecktarn product. However the weather is due to be absolute pooo as far as rain is concerned. So yes it does need a drenching and it would be a pleasure to get a long term review under my belt in less than favourable conditions. Keep an eye out bud
It was so easy to light and combust everything I threw into it, firm base, no soot on the outside. Its a no brainer; if there was a downer, its a bit heavy, and the glass frontage I wonder how robust that would be?..........
I had one of these tents Ralph, I liked the design concept and stealth of the tent but found the materials to be poor quality. Low hydro static head on the fly and the ground sheet was some sort of woven plastic. The poles were fibreglass. The tent survived a really strong wind but it did leak a bit. Sadly the poles snapped when my son was erecting the tent, I was really surprised at how easy they snapped too...! It's a great design let down by poor quality and materials sadly! As for the twig stove, I've never seen anything like that before:)
Hello Sandy, i REALLY enjoyed watching that video, you certainly went above and beyond. If you want to have a borrow of the stove I could drop it over to yours. They have jumped a bit in price, and a similar design is in the 55 quid price range, so try before you buy. BTW E bikes are the way to go....nice latest vid too.
Gotta agree with The Wiltshire Man here. Great design and good selection of colours but sadly it's let down by poor quality materials. I've always wanted one because I love the look of it in the flecktarn pattern but the quality has put me off buying one. If it was £60 instead of £110 then it would be worth a look.
Hello Obsidian, if you look at Aliexpress, and look for "Smilodon mini camping portable firewood stove", theres the exact thing, just without the Deer on the outside of the glass...........also they do I see now a identical unit for 20 quid less, just with a square chimney...........hope it helps
A fantastic tent. Fits perfectly into nature and doesn't cost the earth.
I use one here in Alaska.. Good to run into you here, mate.

Topcat, I so much agree with you. Im not a great lover of the heat, and theres something hypnotic about rain on tarp
I use one of these here in Alaska...
Hello mi friend, interesting stove... Would you do an update on how it's going??? Tc Andy

Fantastic video as always, I’d love to know how you rate this stove compared to the others you’ve used ?
