From 06:00 to 06:16 i just went “Awwwww :,)” And that roving roundabout footage just mesmerises that whole moment. It’s the little things you know! Love watching you two being just you, thank you for that!
never knew about a spit...interesting...and such pretty video work...Alison with the sun very nice...the golden hour...then the comic relief with the oysters...fun!
Hama hama is the righteous spot for fresh oysters and other seafood treats...now you having me craving it so might have to take the dogs for a quick drive to surprise my love on Saturday. Keep traveling safe.
Enjoyed watching your video!! My hubby and I were in Sequim, WA in 2008!! Did you know Sequim is the lavender capital of North America??? They have several lavender farms! We came away with lavender coffee, lavender mocha mix, and other lavender products during our visit!!
Oysters are delicious! They taste like the sea, and minerals. They are delicious just as they come fresh out of the sea. But a spritz of lemon is nice, if you have it. And yes, I chew them.
Bringing back my high school geography knowledge here - the spit is caused my longshore drift, when the sea brings material such as rocks and sand it brings them in at an angle, but takes them back in a straight line, causing all the material to gradually make the coast longer
I LOVE oysters! I definitely chew, because with the wild grown ones, you might find a pearl. I've nearly cracked a tooth on a pearl several times. Different oysters have very different flavors, depending on where they're grown, water temperature and salinity, and variety of the oysters themselves. Here in South Carolina, our oysters grow in clusters, and are much smaller. But they are renowned for their exceptional taste.
Recommendations of place to visit. My three favourite places in Europe (outside the UK where I'm from), are Malta, Venice and Istanbul. Malta is a beautiful historic island - stay in Valletta - perhaps Europe's first planned city, built of golden sandstone. Venice speaks for itself - stay in the Dorsoduro area within close walking distance of the centre, but cheaper (it's the student area) and a little less touristy: I stayed in the Centro Culturale Don Orione Artigianelli; or look or an airbnb in the area. And the food is wonderful - I recommend the Ristorante Terrazza Casin dei Nobili. And finally Istanbul. The food is SO good there, and you must visit the Cisterns and the AyaSofya a 1500 year old former cathedral and mosque: stay in the Sultanahmet area.
Guys!!! I love oysters !!! But I have to confess not a lot of people do. Líeles cant even see me eating them. I eat them with lemon and I do chew them, but is def up to each person! See you next video !
1st with a proper shucking knife and technique you wouldn't have all the little pieces of shell issues so don't let that detour you from trying them again maybe in a restaurant. (We know you gotta improvise when you travel) 2nd oysters from different coasts and different waters do taste differently so you have to try east coast at some point. The whole chew or swallow controversy is totally how/where you were raised. I can't imagine just swallowing it because you couldn't really taste it! Bully for you just for trying it!! You did a great job.
Vanity Fair says, What's the right way to eat an oyster? Relax. There's no right way to eat an oyster. Take your tiny fork and sort of move the oyster around in its liquid-filled half shell to make sure it's detached. Then put down your fork, pick up the shell, and slurp down the oyster from the wide end-it's more aerodynamic that way. Chew the fish one or twice before you swallow it. It's an urban legend that you are supposed to let it slide down your throat without biting into it. Think of an oyster like a grape: if you don't chew the grape, you won't get the full flavor.
will x Very, very occasionally. It's a result of grit getting in the shell so the oyster emits a coating on the grit to stop it irritating. Over the years a pearl is formed.
calichef1962 nope and never will who in there right mind opened up one of them and said wow they look amazing lets eat it live with sea water. You ever had a real bad cold and blown your nose in a tissue then looked at it. What dose it remind you of....... No not for me each to there own

Oh I normally squeeze lemon on them and put a little horseradish on it or Tabasco sauce. I've even had them with rice wine vinegar. Yum

Grasshopper sushi and bivalve necking. My gag reflex is being tested, guys. Brendan UK
Oysters used to be poor people's food. So was lobster. That's the power of marketing.
i thought you can find pearls in oysters :)

Chew it
Always chew the oysters
Oysters..😣

Hi all, what is the distance from the beach you were on to Canada and I ask this for flat earth reasons.
Brave people oysters never should be eaten salty snot..... Loved the video though thanks
Obviously, you've never had one. They are not slimy/snotty, merely wet, and they have a lot of flavor other than salt.
calichef1962 nope and never will who in there right mind opened up one of them and said wow they look amazing lets eat it live with sea water. You ever had a real bad cold and blown your nose in a tissue then looked at it. What dose it remind you of....... No not for me each to there own
Your faces are not doing it for me on the oysters.
They're like giant bogies.
Sorry, just don't like the Way Away
I just have to agree with you
Food are dangerous
