You did the right thing. Jinns aren't meant to be in our realm. Which country was this in? I suggest you change countries by crossing an ocean. It is said, when it comes to Jinns, if you end up changing places, as in let's say if you move from USA to an Asian country, you might be able to get rid of the Jinn. Maybe move to a Muslim country, like Malaysia, because there's Azaan 5 times during the day. Jinns usually cannot stand Azaan. You don't have to be Muslim to live in a Muslim country. You can also seek help from Imams at mosques to do exorcism on you. Read Ayatul Kursi in the beginning of the day and evening. Once again, reading Quranic verses will not make you a Muslim unless you personally ask an Imam and give oath to become Muslim. It is worth giving a shot, you never know, it might end up working in your favour. Maybe you haven't tried everything.
