2024 Mammoth Sniper Challenge Tips - RO Perspective

This year I was an RO (Range Officer) for the 2024 Vortex & Eberlestock Mammoth Sniper Challenge.

I’d of been there but I was sick AF. RO’d 4 Mammoth 1s and the mammoth 2.
Shit smacks. Being an RO is a blast
I’ve told a lot of people about the match that are all gung ho to run it, who haven’t ever competed and I typically tell them “come RO one before you invest your money and time into competing” just so they can see the scope and scale of the match.
The cleaning rod thing too is legit. Wed rubber band cleaning rods in the corner of our M4s in the Marines. A lot of SOF guys do similar. I’m quite surprised at how many people don’t consider how easy it is to stow for an-on-the-clock stuck case or round
