And now bookings for this cruise will go through the roof 🤣🤣 No one has done more for exposure and for tourism for a remote and practically unknown part of the world than Cecilia. Thank you Cecilia, Christoffer and Grimm for letting us peek into a world, that most us us would never have known of without you ❤️❤️
At least in Europe anybody who travel's at least check map how far N and S it's possible to travel. And of course the world's famous seed vault. So I think if IQ is more than 80 everyone should know Svalbard
@@Janis_Celms_Channel I responded to a bully (check a mirror) that way. You responded to someone fighting for others. Do you know who else gaslights? Narcissists. You don't get to poke the bear and cry foul. Go bully someone else.
The sound is accidentally gone at 1:47 for about 10 seconds 🙈😭 It was the most amazing glacier ice popping, so saaad. Also stay tuned for part 2 to get the full experience of this trip. A lot of things were good, but there were a couple of hits and misses 😊 See you on Wednesday! 🎉
Dear Cecilia, don't apologise for finding things beautiful day after day, your positivity is contagious and it makes us find joy in the small things too. Keep up the good work! 💜
My Little Jack Russel loves watching the television/computer screen. All I have to do now is say, Where’s Grim? And she jumps up to see him!! Keep up the good work, most entertaining, wonderful.
I love how different yet the same we all are. I would never have known about Svalbard if it weren't for you and the internet. I grew up in the 70's and 80's and pretty much got information through Encyclopedia Britannica, library and word of mouth. I had brunch with 7 high school friends a few weeks ago and we were talking about all the change and the amount of information out there now. This is just so amazing to watch.
That's exactly what I think. There are places in the world not everyone should travel to. Overtourism is a huge problem. So I'm really happy with those Videos :-)
I've literally been binging all your older videos, waiting for some new ones!! You have such a talent for videography, your videos always look so beautiful!! Thank you for sharing your incredible, life with us Cecilia! Much love from NY! ❤
I love the combination of your joyful enthusiasm with Christoffer's quiet stoicism. Seeing your relationship dynamic add warmth and depth to your wonderful videos.
Watching these videos makes me realize how small my life is. Busy, valuable, and worthwhile but small. There is a part of me that wants soooo much to spend just 1 year in this beautiful place, to expirence the polar night, especially. What a glorious place to live! Thank you for sharing your lives with us and giving us a glimpse into a magical bit of our world.
I just found your channel, and I am so glad I did. Your portrayal of your life is fascinating, often hilarious (where Grim is concerned)and so touching concerning Christoffer; your takes are always informative and entertaining, your musings reflective. You have such an eye for beauty that translates with a master's touch onto film. We have seen this in your daily life at home but especially on this ferry ride around Spitsbergen. Thank you for taking us along! The length of your videos is just perfect, by the way. They take hours to film and edit, and we appreciate all the hard work. Please do not change a thing. We so appreciate you - and Christoffer and Grim!! A big hug from northeastern Italy. ❤❤
I totally understand the coffee situation 😂 As a nurse who has worked night shift nearly my entire 20+ year career, I have been conditioned to tolerate even the worst coffee because that’s sometimes all we get if we get any coffee at all. But it still takes a cup or two to get used to bad coffee.
I look forward to every Sunday morning, making a cup of coffee and watching your new video! I find it very relaxing and comforting and love that I get to see such a beautiful and remote area of the world that I was unfamiliar with until finding your channel. I love your videographer style and appreciate all of the hard work you guys put into your videos! Thank you for sharing your little piece of the world with us. Give Grim a pat on the head for me ☺️
Christoffer looked a little glum on the first day, like he wished he was on his boat. A moment on the "pretend" wheel, however, brought back the smile.😁
A ship trip like this always goes by far too quickly. I love the hours at sea. Preferably very early in the morning or at night when the other passengers are still sleeping. Then you have alone, with the ship and the sea
I'm not tired of your exclamations of how incredibly beautiful your place is. Still, it's nice to hear your awareness of how often you say it. You're blessed to be in a place with so much beauty! And we are so lucky that you make videos of so many incredibly beautiful places. There. Now I've also said it. You go girl!!! Just keep taking us with you. 💙🦚💙
Cecilia you are most definitely a filmmaker! Truly spectacular cinematography, music choices, narration, and I never tire of you saying how beautiful everything is because I say the same thing on every video! ☺️ Sooooo exciiiited for a video on Wednesday! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I want to thank you for what you do. Your channel is peaceful, calming, and overall enjoyable to watch. I really look forward to watching your videos each week. You are inspirational, and I can relate to so much of what you are talking about. Your work is wonderful. I think you remind people that it is ok to just be ok and yourself. Just enjoy your surroundings. Look for the peaceful, the happy, the beautiful and you will find it. It's ok, to just be at peace. No one is out to rob you of it, you can find it everywhere. Thank you for being you, and sharing it with all of us. You and Christoffer. Thank you!
Cecilia, you always have the exact right words to describe everything so wonderfully! Right before you said, "spectacular" I thought I think she'll say "spectacular" because that IS the word for this scenery. lol Holy moly, what a view!
First, this was an amazing video. Beautiful!!! Next, your video length is perfect and gives us something to look forward to in the bonus video this week! Lastly, if I could describe the word peaceful, I’d use you and Christofer with your surroundings as you watch the sunset. ❤
This video in particular reminded me of my cruise in Svalbard two years ago. It was just sensational! The views of the high peaks, the glaciers, the polar bears and walruses, and in early May, the polar sun 24 hours per day! Since it was a photography trip, I could take photos throughout the night and it was glorious! After watching this, I miss this place and will need to go again soon. Thank you for your great videos. I always enjoy them!
I always love going on these adventures with you; thank you! As a historian, I particularly enjoy the historical trips you take us on and again, thank you.
I for one could never get fed up of you saying "its amazing" and "its just simply stunning". It shows every time how stunning everything is each time you say it.
What a good idea to show us this trip. It was very, very interesting and beautiful, thank you so much. All the best to you both and nice to know where Grim is🥰
I can’t imagine the amount of people that have traveled to Svalbard and moved there also because of your content. I’m so excited to visit. Loved this video so beautiful!
I ALWAYS travel with emergency espresso instant coffee. I bring enough for 2 to 3 cups per day. I don't share with my husband. He prefers PG tips tea... so bags of that are also packed.
Thank you for sharing your world with all of us! I look forward to Sunday mornings, taking it slow, and watching your videos. Oh man, as a 2d animator I love Klaus!! It's absolutely a beacon of what the field could be doing with more interest and funding. I never looked into where they named their fictional village after, of course it's up in Svalbard! I love that, thank you for showing us!
Funny to see that there is a "Liefdefjord". Liefde in Dutch means love. There is also a peninsula called Ny-Friesland, named after the Dutch province Friesland (where I'm from). An older man from my neighborhood actually did expeditions to Svalbard for many years. As always, fantastic video Cecilia! Stunning landscapes! I'm excited for the extra video. 😃

How amazing. Brought back memories from 2 years ago. We were on the same ship and done the same journey. Made it to 80 degrees north and had lovely celebration. Saw polar bears with cubs, thousands of walruses and other amazing wildlife. Weather was sunny 24/7, even at midnight ☀️. We also passed your cabin at the beginning of our journey and was trying to work out if I can see you two or Grim😊
I love polar bears, ever since as a young child, when I first saw one of the polar bears diving into the ice water in the zoo. It left such an impact on me that I never forgot it.

Cecelia, your love of coffee actually made me go back to coffee from tea. (Sorry this was a disappointment on this ship.) Now I want to do this cruise. Your joy is truly contagious! Thank you for your weekly content.

Ha! I thought I was the only one who brought "emergency coffee" when I travel... I understand your sadness with the coffee situation! Awesome vid Cecilia, as always.
Thanks for lovely views. What is surprising is that even at 80 degree up north , and I know it must be summer time now, there were hills and land without ice or snow. This is truly surprising! I was expecting everything covered under thick blanket of ice at 80 degrees!! Is global warming really hitting ( and even heating) North Pole so much??
I loved the honesty in this vlog--I mean, it did not seem like a super luxury trip, so you wouldn't want to give people unrealistic expectations. The noise in the cabins sounds annoying as hell--hard to have a good time if you're tired. But the views were spectacular! You make me dream of going to Longyearbyen someday.
When I lived in Vail, CO I woke up each day in awe of the beauty. And I lived there for years. Also just like Christopher when I see wildlife it makes me smile and my heart fill with love. I’ve been known to tell fox, big horn sheep and elk that I love them.
Yes, thanks for mentioning Grim! We all naturally worry about Grim! I call him Grimcicle, because he is like a Svalbard popsicle or icicle, sitting out in the cold all the time like the cool guy he is! 😃 🧊
80! That is so cool. I’ve got a overnight stop in Oslo next year. At first I was disappointed to learn that Oslo is “only” 59.9 degrees North. But then I found out the airport is north of town. My first visit to the 60s!

Beautiful landscapes around you, what a privilege to be able to tag along with you and Christopher. Thank you! How ever, I a little confused, I thought the sun already hibernated for the season. when was this video taken? Absolutely love Christopher’s beautiful sweater!🥰 Looking forward to Wednesday!
The last sunset is in October, on the 27th. We have recently had our FIRST sunset = we will start to see darker nights becaude the sun finally sets in a dqy 😊
How freaking exciting, I'm so glad you guys are having a good time. It is an absolute beautiful place and I really hope that in the near future I can go up and visit where you live and also specifically this place. I have to comment on Christopher sweater- freaking love it. I'm glad you got to see a polar bear and I'm also glad that Grimbo is safe at home and having fun. Enjoy stay safe and I cannot wait for the Wednesday story.
All I can say is wow what a lovely boat and a stunning destination a trip like that is worth it the sunsets the views I am beyond impressed so thrilled to see a polar bear in its.natural habitat and agree with the policy of not disturbing it thank you for giving us a window to one of our pearl of the 🌏 planet destinations I hope you enjoyed your favorite coffee when you returned home
I have been watching your videos for awhile but never commented but today I want to thank you for your beautiful and informative videos, I will never see this in person but thanks to you that I can enjoy it through your videos. Thanks again!!!♥
Your videos bring back such nostalgic memories of living in Alaska when I was a child, and all the things we did as a family. My dad worked on the oil pipeline and my mom was a nurse, so we had the privilege of having a boat, camper, snowmobiles, skis, all the things! I learned how to knit our first winter there. I want so badly to visit Svalbard! I’m pretty sure I could easily live there!
I definitely would have been sleeping in the big lounge area as well - that tiny cabin was making me claustrophobic just looking at it! The food looked pretty nice, and the scenery and weather you had was spectacular. Thanks as always for sharing!

You two… you two are just so adorable as a couple. I love your life!! ❤
Such a beautiful video. The color of the sea changed so much throughout the video. Spectacular. From Donegal, on the north coast of Ireland.
You are a true ambassador for Svalbard and your part of the world. Thank you!!
You can’t get tired of something being incredible or beautiful if it’s true!!! ❤❤❤
Two videos!! I'm up with that!! Loved Christoffer's nautical sweater. And, Ty for keeping us up with Grim.❤😊❤ More adventures await!! Yeah!!
I have been watching your videos for awhile but never commented but today I want to thank you for your beautiful and informative videos, I will never see this in person but thanks to you that I can enjoy it through your videos. Thanks again!!!♥
Just loved this video - I love your choice of music etc. Thank you for enriching this world, Cecilia. You are a gifted person!
What gorgeous cinematography you have. Its just serene to look at
