It's suleiman's fault for being biased in choosing a wife. Yes, he can have as many wives as he wished but being respectful and loving to all his wives is the correct way to resolve this drama, "I am the one the sultan loves the most because I am beautiful" and "I will give him a prince" etc. He was very unfair to his wives and family from the beginning and in the end he killed his son too. In the drama Mahidevran is potrayed as a evil villain but in real life God knows what she has to endure in that harem with everyone trying to win the throne or chasing after power.

This was one of the reasons Valide hated Hurrem she believed Mahidevran and everything she said. Hurrem never said anything about getting rid of Valide.
The scene when Suleiman entered the harem and was looking around was probably not just him looking for Hurrem but also like looking at all these beautiful women thinking he could choose any of them, he owns them all... and yet he can't, he still wanted Hurrem.
I watched Magnificent Century, then I watched Kosem. Finished the last episode of Kosem earlier today. Haven’t started in the second watch of Magnificent Century yet but I plan on starting it soon.
In some ways, you can understand Mahidevran's pain. She did love Suleiman, and I'm sure watching him show love to other women was heartbreaking. It also had to be torture for people around her to constantly tell her that her only value was in pleasing the sultan and birthing sons. However, she knew the rules from the very beginning. The Sultan never has just one woman. By the rules of the harem, he can have up to 4 wives and many concubines. Mahidevran acted as if she was Suleiman's first, last, and only love. But he had Gulfem first. And according to history, he also had other favorites in Manisa besides Mahidevran. But her behavior sealed her fate, and she had no one to blame but herself for that. Not even Suleiman. He gave her gifts and still showed her affection even after Hurrem. But her arrogance and entitlement made him fall out of love with her. Then, she stirred up trouble in the harem, made up lies, and assaulted a concubine. She earned herself a one-way ticket to the Old Palace or maybe even execution. The fact that she constantly reminded Hurrem of her "place" and chastised her for breaking the rules was entirely hypocritical. She isn't a victim, at least not anymore. She was a victim who became a perpetrator in the cycle of abuse, then demanded to be given special treatment and forgiveness for it. I always find it ironic that in the later episodes, she asks Suleiman if he had a conscience after killing Mustafa. She killed Mehmed with no remorse and slept peacefully. She is the one who had no conscience.
Mahidevran straight up lying to Valide Sultan just to make herself look like the righteous wronged party. I know this isn't true to history but show wise, I wish Mahidevran had been completely removed from the palace and kept elsewhere/out of the way.

Not in this time period. Woman were kidnapped and forced into sexslavery. As hurrem was. She was a priests daughter who was kidnapped and sold to the sultans mother as a concubine. Meaning her life is to oy serve the sultan and carry his son. They had no other choice in the matter. At one point the mother was so a concubine robbed of her childhood and sold or forced into marriage with the previous sultan. Usually kidnapped is what happens. Mahidevran is also a concubine. They have no right unless freed by the sultan himself. Their face, and body must be pure to him only. No having children with anyone else. It's a treason to do so and can be accompanied by death. Back then woman didn't have rights. Their only option was to be a wife and have sons. Sons are the most important. Daughters cost too much money and were only good for selling. Which sounds horrible, but that was the case back then. So yeah he tells her why she refused him, because in his mind and the belief of sultans in the ottoman empire denying the sultan the means of pleasure at a whim is like committing treason. It's not allowed, and can be your death sentence. Also the fact that she denied him twice made her more wanted by suliman. She played her cards. Yes it was a risk, but she was betting on that her denying him what he demands makes her more of a treasure he must have and hold. It's a 50/50chance it would work, and it did. He came running to her which is something that NEVER happens. A sultan doesn't go to your chambers like that ever. As a concubine you go to him.
Suleiman was the number one person that caused all of this hatred and envy between all of the women in his harem. That system needed to be over. One man owning people (women) and he is worshipped.
Yeah she was the mother of his firstborn son. His heir so to speak until Hürrem gave him others. But mothers usually were given a bit more slack. Especially when they were the first to give him a son
@tsarina24honolulu87 from what I've read, we actually don't know this. There were no records kept by the harem, no diaries or anything like that. Again from what I've been able to find the story of mahidevran beating hurrem came from a foreigner who claims to have caught a glimpse of it. We don't actually know if it's true or if the foreigner made it up to make the harem look bad. Very little is known about the life and feelings of the women in the harem.
GOAAAAT SULEIMAN🫵🏻🫵🏻🫵🏻
Well Hürrem didn't say that but she did do it
Mahidevran is bye bye 😄😄
I can't believe the writer did it so Mahi got away with it and harem suffered
Mahidrvil deserved the exact same thing in return.
Well, she is a mother of a Prince. But Mahidevran should have been banished.
She was banished after she beat Hurrem!!!!!
@@allanaalberto9730Mahidevran got punished but Hurrem never got for the evils she did because Suleiman was madly in love with her
Suleiman was the number one person that caused all of this hatred and envy between all of the women in his harem. That system needed to be over. One man owning people (women) and he is worshipped.
Hy is Mahideran always get away with everything just beacuse of Mustafa
Yeah she was the mother of his firstborn son. His heir so to speak until Hürrem gave him others. But mothers usually were given a bit more slack. Especially when they were the first to give him a son
I wonder how accurate are these stories?
about as accurate about The Tudors
there’s some things that are correct but most of them aren’t incorrect or exaggerated for drama
Mahidevran did beat hurrem and was banished.
Edit: I could be wrong this is just what I learned when I looked into this a little bit. I'm not from this culture or this place.
pretty much close to zero. :))) why don`t you read other comments about real power of Hurrem in real history? :) It had nothing to do with this fake script, although the wovie is fun and entertaining to watch. - it`s all twisted primaritly for dramatic show.
Top notch Victim blaming of Hürrem by Mahidevran here.
Drama name and is it with Eng sub
Magnificent century on UA-cam.
Mahidevran was never pregnant. Mustafa was her only child. It's a one-mother, one-son policy.
Didn't stop Hurrem from having multiple sons.
So sad for hurrem😢😢😢
And she thinks she does not have to pay?
We can upgrade after we move. 🥰🙃♥
In this seen I do feel bad for mahidevran, she went crazy from the lose of her baby and made her black out from her pain
Maturity is realising that Suleiman is the main culprit thoughout the series
What would make Mahidrevan think that if she beat Hurrem up; His Majesty would love her again??!! What a pathetic excuse for a woman.
He killed his most worthiest son and the power got into those hands which destroyed the establishment of the ottoman empire this king was good in ruling during his times but how an empire gets destroyed by the wrong womens and how the woman is equally important for establishment this was shown in this drama 👌🏻
oh mahidevran super dserb
Intresting
When I hear the term Haseki I cringed cause a manga did it too using the term haseki instead of Hatun
Thank god I am not hurtem
Why doesn’t Gulsah bow to Mahidrevan??
Oh,even infront Gulsha u are a lier Mahidevran

Sultan injustice with mahidevran. When hurram done this with more ladies that time sultan was silent. One sultan have two rules in same way😡
The only person I saw hurrem beat like this was hatice and it was different. Hurrem hadn't really done anything to mahidevran except get suleymams attention where as hatice was using hexing and using witchcraft on hurrem and hurrem found out and that's why she beat her.
Men in this culture were abusers.
Hurrem❤❤❤
Haseki was always Hurrem
❤❤

الأصوات التركية غير مناسبة ابدا للأبطال الأصوات المدبلجة افضل كثيرا جدا

Mahidevran Was a liar she got away with the lies infront of everyone but Suleiman humiliated her privately..Hurrem.was punished and Banished but Suleiman loved her in public and private
I Love Meryem Uzerli
Red Robe v.clever
Maybe suleiman or his mother gave her something to end her pregnancy? Suleiman seems to dislike her
if his mother would have obeyed his command, life would have been a lot better! oh it's never been done before-tuff it up!
