Sekiro - Inner Father - NG+7, Charmless/Bell Demon, No Damage

- What a rush. I haven't felt this way since I beat Isshin for the very first time.
By far, Father is the hardest of the Inner bosses. He punishes aggression HARD. You have to carefully count how many R1s you put out, otherwise, he'll get you with those Mist Raven feathers.
Orange Boi Sekiro returns, as I don't really like the Sekijo skin, and I haven't unlocked any of the others on my NG+7 character.
Isshin and owl fights the most enjoyable and epic in the game ,i never get bored of
For me it’s Owl, Genichiro, Isshin because they’re the most interesting
Which is more default 2 you it is isshin or owl ?

High Monk does ridiculous posture damage if it punishes a sweep.
@neil high monk add 2 more type of attacks.
Personnaly I prefer senpo kick, since i have a margin of error if i made a mistake
@neil senpo kicks is the first part where if you use (LB+RB) You jump and use a kick that does high posture damage and can evade some attacks, press RB again to deliver 2 others kicks.
High monk is an upgrade version of senpo kicks, it does the same things, but if you press RB again it 2 swotds slashs and a last RB gives a final kick.
I love the first version because, with high monk, sometimes i make the mistake of using the sword slash part while the ennemi is building up an attack and sometimes they can even attack you through that specific part.
Owl was the one who stabbed Wolf in the back the first time. I will never forget Owl's long ass sword.

Dude you’re a beast: I fought this guy charmless/bell demon and it took almost 10 full minutes just to beat him (needless to say I took tons of damage🙈). He’s even worse than Inner Isshin I think: Owl’s posture recovery is crazy and there’s no lightning to reflect back like Isshin’s final phase.
inner isshin was alright for me, I got a plan down and was able to kill him a couple of times on his own before doing the gauntlet. Owl on the other hand...took me almost 3 hours, that's both training on just him and doing the gauntlet multiple times before I got him.
Some weeks ago, I beat Inner Father without any health refills for the furst time. Spent the entire morning on it. Beautiful stuff.
Holy shit, from 2:15 to 3:01 is insane. I'm scared of doing this just looking at it. Well done man.
There is always a point in the fight it becomes crazy like that, and I can't keep up... For the moment, this is too fast for me!
What makes this and inner isshin’s fight so difficult is that they have a move to punish you for attacking relentlessly

This is the first time I've seen that mist raven jump attack, usually I would play so aggressively that owl never gets that far from me

I fucking hate this fight, but I'm still gonna do it without taking damage when I get the chance.
Remember to count your R1s. If your sword doesn't hit metal or flesh, double-deflect immediately then follow up with ONE R1. That's how I managed this fight.

How did you dodge the flame owl by going forward, thought there were no i-frame in sekiro
There are i-frames in the dodge.
I was wondering that myself. But I think he's right, I've dodged attacked before that looked like they would have definently hit if I didn't have I-Frames.

Can somebody explain how to dodge that fire owl attack..!? I tried jumping...dashing and jumping, diagonal jumps... It always gets me...
You either have to deflect it or dodge through it-- but only if you DON'T see the Kanji.
If you do see it, just jump over it.

I think it’s called umbrella in this game
the spin of the umbrella is treated as a perfect block that negates pushback. very usefull to keep agression up
Gauntlets don't scale with NG+ cycles they stay the same difficulty no matter what cycle you are in.

That Mist Raven pissed me off, that and the stupid camera getting caught on walls. It's a fun fight once you stop getting your butt kicked but Owl is one tough cookie so that took me a while. Mostly cuz I don't use the Umbrella.
