Can that copper really get up in the morning and think he's doing a worthwhile job? It's coppers like him that leaves the public unwilling to help them.
This is a case of "I'll pull them up for BS, then I'll just keep looking over their bikes until I try to find something to justify this stop, then I'll claim this is what the stop was for". PATHETIC POLICING.
So, the tractor trailers didn't have any number plates... Yet the bikers are the ones in the wrong?... If they can't get the basics right, then they're not fit for any policing purposes.
It's a fishing expedition... officer believes he will find other rule infringements once he has stopped them.. the insurance question should explain that to you..
Police officers, particularly the ones that have been around for a while absolutely hate body cameras, cell phone cameras, doorbell cameras and video surveillance from my business. That police officer could’ve said anything he wanted to say when this was over and no one could dispute it. Remember they always believe the police over a citizen. The problem he had of course was that there was another camera running and everything that he said and did was recorded. I always love it when other cops show up for officer safety. After all, that man’s video camera or cell phone was firing off 30 to 60 frames per second and that is a lethal weapon when it comes to proving what was said and done in court. It is fairly amazing who people really are that apply for a position to be a police officer and go through the training, sometimes you get a twisted nitwit in the end.
That copper is a complete knob. Also on country roads its better to go slower, people go far too fast on country roads as it is.those two riders were sensible end of.
In the 1960s my dad pulled a man off a police constable , who was getting badly beaten, he received a thankyou letter, would i do the same thing today , certainly not...and they wonder why the the public have no respect for them , after incidents like this.
No comment No comment No comment I do agree driving too slow on country roads can be dodgy. Mainly at bends. Common sense. In all seriousness - waste of public funds this whole stop.
Tractors are required to have 3 licence plates. 1 at the rear and 1 either side at the front. A reg plate on the trailer does not have to match the tractor pulling it as long as it is owned by the keeper of the towing vehicle and if the police believe its ok for a trailer not to have a plate on it then they are definately failing in their job
@@edwinrs I didnt say sides i said each side at the front. They also must have a registration plate on the rear that adhere to the same laws as car's i.e they must have a light making the registration clear at night. If the tractor has 2 registrations plates at the front and 1 on the rear it does not need to have a registration on the trailer but if it only has 1 on the front and 1 on the rear the trailer has to have a registration plate
tractor trailers need number plates. The number plates must be displayed correctly and meet the regulations set out in the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001
He saw the type of bikes in his mirror and assumed that the riders would be spotty necked oiks with no insurance. The world must have fallen out of his bottom when the guy took his helmet off and he spotted grey hair. Love the bobby in the van. They usually comment about shiny trousers too.
Section 163 road traffic act allows an officer to pull any vehicle over for the purpose for instance. License, mot. Section 164 and 165 covers details as in dob and address and name. However you are correct. Ask them to know why they pulled you. If they do it for another reason outside document check then you have a open chance to challenge it
Arizona tried the same thing and was giving certificates of Safe Driving along with a Restaurant Debit Card. The lawyers got it stopped as it was nothing but a ticket fishing excursion.
Increase violence by 300% Increase sarcasm by 300% Increase sneering by 300% Increase intimidation by 300% And you have the average police officer behaviour of the 1990s-2000s. Be grateful for all the cameras that are available if not that is how they would still be.
words of advice instead of a ticket?? no grounds for the ticket. just messing around and wasting time because the biker mock him and the pig had to display his authority
I think they never heard back about the number plate and got away with it. 2 tier policing as he could have pulled over all those local tractors and dealt with them after the bike stop.
And the registration plate doesn’t need to match the one on the tractor. As long as the trailer plate matches one of the other vehicles registered at the same address.
So what you are talking about is covered by The Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001 section 8 and it states Fixing of registration plates: works trucks, road rollers and agricultural machines 8.-(1) This regulation applies to works trucks, road rollers and agricultural machines. (2) A registration plate must be fixed on the vehicle in a vertical position or, where that is not possible, in a position as close to the vertical as is reasonably practicable- (a)on both sides of the vehicles, so that the characters of the mark are easily distinguishable from both sides of the vehicle, or (b)on the rear of the vehicle, so that the characters of the mark are easily distinguishable from behind the vehicle, or (c)where the vehicle is towing a trailer or trailers and the plate is not fixed on the sides of the vehicle, on the trailer or the rearmost trailer (as the case may be) so that the characters of the mark are easily distinguishable from behind the trailer. (3) Where the towing vehicle is an agricultural machine, a plate fixed on the trailer may, instead of displaying the registration mark of the towing vehicle, display the mark of any other agricultural machine kept by the keeper of the towing vehicle.
tractor trailers need number plates. The number plates must be displayed correctly and meet the regulations set out in the Road Vehicles (Display of Registration Marks) Regulations 2001. Perhaps thats where you went wrong, not have any number plates and they want then stop you.
Disgraceful behaviour to traffic police ……. Saw you riding slow …. He had concerns … just stopped for a check .. he was polite and professional………………… who would you be praying to turn up in you were in an accident of in trouble ????
There's no such thing as riding slowly, there's riding to the conditions of the highways. Surprise surprise it's in Wales. Should have asked if he's ever played car pull over snooker and what's his highest break.
Is there a british standard for sun glasses tint as a lot of bikers wear them that dont have visors .....that cops passed his sell by date how petty can he be ...hate to think what he's like at home ....the spoon to his cup of tea has to be on the right hand side at an angle of ....ETC ..Ps how many sheets to wipe his arse ...not over or under but exact please
If you can see the number plate and rear lights of the vehicle towing you do not have to have a plate or lights on the trailer. The tractors that went past adhered to that law, learn the law. If you buy a dark visor it says for off road use only at point of sale, so if you use it on the road it's your call, the plate might be legible but not the correct size as defined by The Road Traffic Act. Not an endorsable offence but get reported often enough for the offence and they'll seize your vehicle.
Beats catching real criminals for a living..,the police are a disgrace…

I think the term used in motorcycle circles is 'defensive riding'....rather than safe.
Hopefully they will take this to court.

Targeting the tourists and not having the balls to even look at what the locals (Tractor drivers) are doing.

More and more decent people have become more and more reticent to help the police...I wonder why?
No they can stop you for ANY reason, not NO reason. Come what, there ALWAYS is a reason. Always demand to know what that reason is.

One is required but it doesn’t have to Mach the tractor just has to me owned my the same person
They must be running low on coffers for the xmas party.
OMG is this what the UK police has come to ?.

Earning the hate as always.
When they can,t find anything they try to fabricate false charges policing needs to be updated.as some of the regulations

The only place they may ask you to comply with the displayed speed limit is on a motorway because of the safety reasons only!
Don’t forget the tractor drivers are his friends.

Some coppers need to get a life honestly 🤦
Is this copper for real easy people to stop nothing else to do
9:17 More importantly for a safety point of view, it wasn't obvious that the trailer had lights.
The traffic officer makes it so easy for people to have a negative attitude towards the police.

You can guarantee them tractors drive along there everyday without a number plate on their trailers
They don’t require registration plates on trailers if the plate on the tractor is visible
And the registration plate doesn’t need to match the one on the tractor. As long as the trailer plate matches one of the other vehicles registered at the same address.

I have never said they need a reason to stop you. 163 gives them the power to stop any vehicle on a road way
