I had an arrest dated 05/ 17/1986, and I was granted relief under 1203.425 it still shows the details of the arrest on my background and I continue to get denied employment with the State? what can I do about this?
Yes, the term can mean different things in different states which is why we specifically mention California in the title. However, we have found that those who are interested in post-conviction relief often do not understand what specific avenue may be best for their situation, and in turn just assume an expungement will do the trick. Our goal is to provide insight into relief through PC 1203.4 in California, as this is a common form of relief for individuals who assume they need an expungement.
Has anyone received an expungement since the new law went into effect July 1st, 2023? Thumbs up please!

Stop using the term expungement. It doesn't mean the same thing in different states.
