I think this pallette actually looks way prettier than the Natasha denona one. Usually I like when pallets are mixed up but this one looks so pretty in columns and the packaging is way prettier!

Isn't my color story, but I love how Alter Ego rearranges their shades into gradients and light to dark (like even w the ABH dupe). I can't stand confetti placement for myself.

Beautiful looks and I love Alter Ego! I have Mel’s Palette though so I won’t be needing this one. Hey, my daughter got Region 17 Teacher of the Year for the State of Texas!?!? 😱 I know you will know what that means. They kept it a surprise, told her she would be playing a game with her principal at convocation, which was in front of everybody in a huge auditorium. She worried about this game, she had a bad stomachache and was laying down on the floor of her classroom flat out only one hour before they had to be there. I told my Mom that this wasn’t about a game, that I bet she got it. We were in town at Walmart when we got the text, my Mother was crying, I was crying, we had pictures of Tara crying. 😂 We we’re all a hot mess. 😂 Thanks Steff! 💕
WOW what an honor!!! Congrats to her!! I'm in Region 1. We also had convocation and the teachers of the year would walk out with the campus principal holding our school's flag. You must me so proud of her!! That's so awesome!
I saw this palette reviewed on another channel and made a similar comment there: I love the rearrangement of the colors and the packaging is gorgeous. I was never very interested in the original ND palette’s color story but this design is making me re-think my opinion. I’m normally not drawn to pastels on myself but look 1 is fantastic on you and look 2 is my kind of aesthetic. I’m going to have to give this one serious consideration now because for the price I would actually get some use out of it plus I have 3 other AlterEgo palettes and they are definitely good quality and a great alternative if you just don’t think you’ll regularly use their pricier inspirations. Thanks for the work you put into your looks. They really help me see the possibilities! 13:00

Sakura means cherry blossoms/tree in Japanese. (Sa like Saks Ku like Cukes/cucumber Ra like (ra ra sis boom ba.)
We had a foreign exchange teacher from Japan who taught us the Cherry Blossom song. They are pretty important in Japanese tradition.

I own 4 Alter Ego palettes and I reach for them often. This is a beautiful palette and I will probably pick it up...
I wasn't too excited by the ND palette, but the layout of this palette really highlights the gorgeous colors! I felt like the layout of the ND palette muddied the colors for me.

Just ordered my palette along with the Harmony palette. I used your code so thanks for saving me a bit! I received the retro glam ND in a IPSY box boost and was like 'this is TERRIBLE". So I'm super hopeful these mattes will actually show up on my medium dark skin tone. I totally agree that indie brands make these "prestige" look silly! I don't know if you do subscription boxes, but I would love to see what you would do with the Eyescream & Slay Glam boxes. Both boxes are so amazing & affordable!

Yeah it's a great palette especially for those of you that kinda wanted the ND Retro Glam but never decided on it, this is way more affordable and just as good if not better quality.

First time watching here! I just received the Sakura palette in the mail today after seeing another influencer demo it a few days ago. I knew I had to have it. It is even prettier in person and so is the artwork. I really enjoyed your format of trying the pallet on its own rather Than side-by-side. If I am buying the altar, ego pallet, I am not purchasing the more expensive one so I'm not worried if it's an exact dupe. I loved how easy it was to follow along, and I didn't have to watch a lot of extra to get the information I came to watch for. Subscribed and will be watching more. Thank you so much.!

This version looks more cool tone friendly than the Natasha Denona or Mels version of this color story - i love the looks of those but haven't purchased as they pull orange on me.

I had no idea this palette dropped and I’m super happy because while I do own a fair amount of ND, I bought the AE inspired palettes for the Bronze and Love Palettes and there super good quality. I wanted the Retro Glam, and didn’t know SG had the in memory bundle of our beloved Mel (I have the Tiny Marvels), so new plan! I will buy Mel’s bundle and get the Sakura Palette instead of the Retro Glam ❤

Hallo Steff, great looks. yes I have the ND retro glam and ordered the In Mel memory package, if I ever receive the SG order ( kinda mad not going to lie, with all the brands once I get the pricey order in a month ( 6 week back order ) i will not order again from them. unless I guess a collab with a favorite creator) Great video and lots of love.

I would say yes because of the price point and I also love the cover art. They both perform well though. Quality isn’t an issue with either. I think you will get a bit more depth with this one.

i'll double check my settings, but I usually watch part of my videos on TV or phone to ensure the are correct and I haven't noticed anything.

I had to laugh when you said you used the false eyelash. Of all the people I watch on YT you have the most beautiful eyelashes and they almost look artificial. I know you probably use a serum but truly you don’t need artificial lashes to have beautiful eyelashes.
Awe thanks!! I do use RevitaLash and have done so for over 5 years. I can use it every other day now or every 2 days even. I like the falsies because they hold the curl.
@@SteffsBeautyStash I got an email from Alter Ego that a new palette was coming out. I bought it right away knowing it might sell out. I really didn’t even look at the palette an of course I knew I might have the inspiration palette and of course it is one that I do have and like you pastels are not my favorite. I would not think of the looks you did being from a pastel palette. I probably never used the ND more than 5 times but I did get it out this morning and I was happy with it. I actually think I will gift the Alter Ego palette to one of my daughters for Christmas. Great video, thank you.
