I have loved the ocean for so long... and it feels good to learn stuff!! I did not know the difference between oceans, bays, seas, gulf.. this is cool as hell.
This is what I'm going to study if I go to college. I always loved the concept of oceanography, but I never knew what to look for. This is quite informative, thanks :).
Thank you so much for this video! I am way ahead of myself but, I would love to major in marine biology in college (which isn't for another three years). I am interested in researching/discovering known and unknown ocean life. I know that i would need to take some oceanography courses in order to do that. I am in virtual school so, I can get ahead a little bit and watch some videos and read some books on what I hope to major in, in college.
What High school are you talking about?, i take oceanography as part of school but its part of a special science program, id love to take marine bio as a class
Columbus didn't argue that the Earth was round, everyone by 1492 knew that the Earth was round. Columbus thought you could sail from Spain to India because the Earth was much smaller than it really was, thus sailing to Asia would be possible.
Halocline, barrier between 2 seas, barrier between fresh water and sea water or other similar phenomenon : Check quran Sura Al Furqan, chapter 25 verse 53, sura An Naml, chapter 27 verse 61, Sura Ar Rahman, chapter 55 verse 19 & 20 Thanks
in the vernacular of the gentry, dude! the Arabian Sea is located just to the west of your blue "circle of ignorance" you drew around the Bay of Bengal. I had to stop viewing at that point until it is corrected.
Native Indians came from North America, into Asia then into the Pacific Islands? Cringe! Polynesians came from Asia and Native Americans came from Asia also, both of which happened during different periods of migration..
If you want to be taken seriously, invest in a decent condenser microphone. The audio quality of this video is not only poor, but it is very unpleasant and annoying. It is beyond cheesy. The audio is downright repugnant. I wanted to use the video since my kid has a quiz coming up but I found it painful to listen to this.

I hope you are studying the ocean now :)
Same here! It’s been six years so I hope you’re doing what you love :)
This video is good. It can help me for my reporting for Science. Yes, we study oceanography in Junior High
HOPEFULLY!
When I enter a university which teaches this I'll be able to graduate and become an employee for NOAA.
great presentation..as a person who's always been interested in earth sciences i really appreciate the wonderful job done on this video
i have no clue but i laughed so hard when he said "see that sea?"
Who else is here for SciOly

I'm using this as research for a novel. My main character is an oceanography student! ❤️
Wait a min, this isn't the study of Billy Ocean???
i just registered oceanography 180 for my 2nd semester in college![:
thanks for making this :)!
This "another sea" is Bałtyk (Baltic Sea).

Peninsulas are pieces of land that are surrounded by water on three sides.
Wow I’m the first comment in nine years 😧😧😧

This guy incorrectly marked the peninsula that makes up Cape Cod.

There is no such thing like Arabian sea, That Persian Gulf.
Please do your research before sharing your thoughts. "DO RESEARCH"
Persian Gulf not Arabian sea, you really need to learn the names well before lecturing on a scientific field !
Not all cultures refer to that body of water as The Persian Gulf. In fact, many do refer to that specific body of water as The Arabian Sea.
Depends where you're from. Don't be calling it the Arabian sea in Persia, that's not going to end well
Asiatic Sea? Canadian Sea? Scandinavian sea? Dude, if your going to do a video on Oceanography, learn your place names. So bad.
That's rude at least he tried
That’s Persian Sea Not Arabian Sea !!!
😆😆😆 Good job this talk isn't on geography
