are taxis/cabs expensive there ? what's the price range of a 10 minutes ride?

Hey - we only got the metro or walked around. The Metro is super cheap and you can get a 24 hour pass for around £7 including coming in from the airport. The city is also fairly small, so it's easy to walk to most places in the day. Enjoy

Can't comment on Hartletpool, but I imagine the biggest difference is the price of beers
