True story - this piece (the 7th symphony) was performed at the university in Vienna on 8 December 1813. Typically, as you can expect, the audience waits to the end to clap and cheer. After this section of Beethoven's 7th, the crowd immediately demanded an encore of the second movement immediately. They did not want to hear the third movement until the musicians performed the 2nd movement again, before continuing to the third movement. THAT is how good this piece of work is - nothing short of remarkable.
🎉
It is true that is a Beethoven's funeral march for his symphony and that he had to cut the legs of his piano to hear the vibrations of the sound through the floor to finish it?
@@raymundovergararoman2473 I have HEARD that several times but can't find actual writings that confirm it.
Una maravilla. Patrimonio de la Humanidad
A wise and brilliant audience! Worthy of one of the most beautiful and amazing pieces of European classical music ever written in my humble opinion! And so wonderful also to be able to watch this great orchestra and conductor performing it! I gush and gush. Forgive me.
I can't express what this does to me emotionally. One of the most beautiful pieces ever written. Thank you Beethoven.
This piece literally moves me to tears emotionally. The initial crescendo 2:00 onward into the decrescendo in 3:07 I could sob. There is something in this piece that is alive and breathing and feeling.
... that *_even Beethoven_* has ever written !
Genial!!!❤
While watching this performance last night, I was thinking that if an advanced alien species were to visit Earth, I would want them to be shown this as a representation of what human beings can do artistically.
Me gusta muchísimo.
I listened to it the whole time and it was a balm for my soul. At the end no one clapped right away... it was so beautiful and the video ended with this silence without clapping. An ad immediately popped up. Killed me. MURDER
Death stains the auditorium.
Es Dios en manos de este genio !!
This is pure heaven to me 🕊✨✨
Greatest rendition since Karajan - to me... perfect tempo, flawless expression. Awesome 👌

This is such an amazing piece of music, you can really physically feel this piece
Extraordinario.
We have the opportunity of feel the pressure, excellence of the orchestra watching the musicians. So much concentration and feelings. El Maestro is in trance. Wonderful experience. Thanks
Wow, Gustavo's got it! After listening to many versions of this; his interpretation ranks right up there with Kleiber, Kubelik and Ozawa. In my humble opinion, it is better, by far, than the interpretations of such powerhouse conductors as Rattle, Gregiev, Karajan and Bernstein. The effortless ease with which he combines the delicate and forceful passages is truly mesmerizing. And all this while his is not "acting out" the role of a "maestro". Bravo Gustavo, well done you and the Venezuellan Youth Orchestra! Truly a pleasure to watch!
I know it’s somewhat subjective but it seems that the tempo is good. So many other interpretations are too fast or rushed. This is neither to fast or too slow.
This gives me goosebumps and my heart races From excitement, there’s no words in this melody yet it speaks to my soul and tears come down my eyes. ❤ Bravo, maestro!
Best version I have heard yet!
This music mismerises me , pinnacle of art and extremely emotional
Thank you so much for such a magnificent performance. It was beautifully emotional. 👍👍👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏

As I learn more and more about modern composers and delve more deeply into less popular pieces, I don’t revisit Beethoven as often as I should. But there may never be another composer who can wring such incredible breadth of emotional experience out of such an economy of melodic content. It almost seems imposible that a 5 note theme with a “shave and a haircut” rhythm could still bring me to tears decades after hearing it for the first time, but that is Beethoven’s genius.
Hermosa obra
I cry.
Bravo M. Dudamel.
Underrated! Best performance

I really want a comparetive analysis of this and Kleiber 7th allegretto.
If someone has any leads. Please.
Bravo!
Death stains the auditorium.
2nd movement LVB 7th is a funeral dirge. A DIRGE, Dudamel just does not get that. He jazzes it up and destroyed the movement. IT's a DIRGE.
Sorry mr. George, I am not an expert, even not a musician but, urged by your words, I looked for and just listened to a Leonard Bernstein & Wiener Philharmoniker version and let me tell you I find Dudamel's version with more "feeling" and Deep expresión. Bernstein's version seems to be more "vivace". It is just my very humble appreciation.
BS!
