Thank you sir, my father spent half a day watching all of this on his small phone, redrawing every step of this video, with every single detail. He asked me to save this video for him, he doesn’t get what youtube is. He suffered from motorcycle accident 2 years ago and doesn’t feel his feet, but he spends most of his free time in his little garage and makes things for garden, cars and tools, despite walking with canes. You brought him inspiration and joy. Salute.
Probably the best DIY project I have seen on UA-cam. The design and construction was excellent. Yes, there are alterations that could be made, but he achieved what he set out to build, and it works. Tradesman.
Very well done. Consider placing a guard at the front of the saw blade just above the guide bearings. This would prevent accidental touching OR should anyone stumble they will not get in contact with the moving blade.
really well done! Just one hint: you should better create a housing around your bandsaw for safety in case the band will break unexpectedly, then it's perfect!
A very very fine craftsman I know lopped 4 fingers of his hand when the bandsaw blade he was using broke. Pinky all the way angling up to the 1st digit of his index finger. The other 2 in that diagonal line. They reattached them, but he used to tell me when it was cold outside, if I ever lose cut my fingers off, toss them in the trash can, cause his hurt all the time. I think he was just complaining cause they hurt. I always thought I'd rather have 4 pain ridden fingers than no e at all. Crazy scar he's got too. I know another guy lost all fingers on both hands minus thumb and Pinky. Always Hawaii time for that man. That was in a winch on a dozer. His fingers were not savable. He gets by. Not on welfare. Drives a wrecker. Don't grab a winch cable too close to the drum, and ask the inexperienced guy on the machine to let line out. He might let the cable in on accident, and bring your fingers or more with it. Grab that thing as far away from that drum as possible. So you have more than plenty of time to drop that bitch before it can eat your hands. Machines have zero empathy, or conscious. They will eat you up, like you weren't even there, and just continue on with zero fucks given. They are awfully handy to have around, but don't expect an apology when you stick your head, or han in her mouth, and the bitch bites you, chews you up, and keeps on pushing. Company gal, she eats while working. Only stopping for some lube, or fuel. I know another girl that had a terrible incedent with one of those mechanical penis tools. It was bad. Caused major mental issues, broke up her marriage, kids got hearts broken, she only wants that machine now. It dont care how heavy she gets, it has a job to do, it damn fuckíng well does it with many fucks given
You have more common sense and usable work knowledge than most people I know. And, that is one bad ass tool you built. I like those guides. Thanks for posting this video.
Check out Donn DIY, he has built some stuff with scrap metal that he cleans up to new condition and the builds trailers and brush hogs and his band saw mill is better than wood mizer's saw mill

Nice project. Just a note about welding galvanized steel. Grind away the zinc plating first if possible, and do not breathe the welding fumes as they are very toxic. A well ventilated area is good.

Naka2x bilib bro, Ang bata mupa ngunit dami mong alam. Kaya pala ng pinoy.. Mahilig din ako nyan, but ang layo ko sa idea at ingenuity mo. Applicable sa pinoy na low budget. Sana you sell your plans para maka gawa din ako.. Kaya ko nman gayahin yan base sa pinakita sa video pero mas madali kung my dimensions at itemize materials used. More power. Ikaw na idol ko next to Wendel Mathias.
PLEASE MAKE TIME TO READ!!!!!!!! To avoid overexposure to galvanize fumes, you should have proper ventilation and avoid direct contact with zinc oxide fumes. Welders who have many years of experience also recommend drinking milk before, during and after welding galvanized steel to lessen your risk of galvanize poisoning. You may also want to purchase a welding hood fit for welding galvanized steel.
It’s called welders fever. The milk drinking thing is an old wives tale and proper ventilation while wearing a respirator is a must while dealing with anything galvanized. I strongly suggest not ever welding anything galvanized if you care about your mental health over the long term. This is bad stuff and being in the same area, even outdoors, this stuff can poison you.

WOWWWWW Congratulations young man, you have great talent and skill, your video came to me here in Brazil. You shone in your step by step. God bless you.
Great idea and great work. 1 suggestion, grind the Gal off be4 welding, especially on low amps. You welds will be considerably better (not that they are bad) and also your lungs will thank you, Gal is some bad voodoo. But keep up the great work and thanks for the inspiration.......
It may be a good idea to fill those wheel grooves in the way to have a convex shape (with a bump pointing outside) and have a crown pulley rather than regular one to hold the blades. It will require some plastic material (such as two component epoxy, but it will need a lot). Use the motor power to turn them in a lathe like style. The U shaped groove will put unecessary stress on blade teeth and will dramatically decrease their lifespan, teeth may also eat into wheel through rubber and may make them hold the blade inconsistently, which will require frequent maintainance. Beside decreasing stress on the build, crown pulleys are self centering. Very inspiring work. Thank you for sharing.
I'm still new to a good bit of this, but am pleased that your comment crossed my mind as well. I was holding a bike wheel in my hand and said "Hmmm. Go UA-cam 'Bicycle Band Saw' and see what pops up." Was not disappointed. Makers on UA-cam- Where the Comments are actually part of the Content. Cheers, and Excelsior!

great job. I think the belt and the saw will be pain in the ass every time when it comes to replace the saw. it should have had the way in and out each.
Was going to say dont put rubber directly over spoke end caps as the blade wouldn't run smooth but then you correctly drilled out the rubber to account for the end caps... :) Well done with guide rollers too.
Excellant build , only sugeestion i would add would be to use nylon lock nuts on the blade guide holders to prevent them loosening. Similar design on larger scale with a petrol engine for tree conversion .

Loud rock music after a 15 minute moderately quiet video is a shock to the ears. The build was fantastic tho.
Sorry about that bro.
Ну да, чем не вариант?! Достаточно легкая конструкция колеса. Но наверно, резиновую часть нужно как-то доработать. Молодец!!!
